We were headed to another spot for breakfast and my husband said he'd like to try 'something different.' That's when we found... Bulrushes Cafe. And, we are so glad we did! Great set up. Order, seat yourself, and wait for the deliciousness to be served!Friendly and attentive staff. Food was very good. That cinnamon roll was to die for! I asked for my build-your-own omelet to be'well done' (not one for 'runny' or 'wet' and it was perfect. Food was fresh and the $ was reasonable. We'll be back for sure! Read more

A quaint, make yourself at home cafe with an adorable cast and crew. Menu was scant but everything that is on it is a home run.... Service was prompt and food portions were generous and delicious. The wife and I went for breakfast. The food was very good and the atmosphere was good as well. We had the chicken biscuit,... breakfast sandwich and beignets. Everything came out quick but the beignets were undercooked (they replaced them quick and withno issues). The sandwiches were very flavorful but it's impossible to eat them without silverware. A little different set up than most restaurants. When you walk in you grab a menu and seat yourself. Then once you've decided... what to order you go up to the counter to do so. Very friendly workers. I ordered the Eggs Benedict chicken and waffles and itwas delicious! The chicken was tender and flavorful, the waffle was fluffy and sweet, the poached eggs were a oddly greataddition. I would definitely come back here just for that. Read more

I ordered some food for mother's day breakfast, the French toast with bananas and the surf and turf eggs Benedict. Food was very... tasty. The French toast was not overly sweet and the steak and lobster were cooked perfectly. The only thing keeping this 5stars was the egg was not runny. The place was. Ice and clean with a nice decor. I loved that the beautiful pictures on the wallas other decor are actually for sale. I assume they are local artists which makes me appreciate this place more for supportinglocals. The staff was great and got my food out quickly. As I waited for my to go order, the staff was very attentive to theguests eating at the tables and were very friendly. Finally was able to stop in and see what all the fuss was about! Took my mom because I knew she would like several of the menu... items she can't find at other places. We came in at 1pm an hour before closing. Right off the bat greeted by friendly staff andservice overall was excellent. Mom had the gyro and ordered a stuffed ham sandwich to go (it was enough for two people!) I hadthe crab dog and let me tell you it was delicious with the sauce on it and a potato hot dog bun. When I first tried this establishment I was blown away?and I gave a glowing five star review. Unfortunately, every time I?ve... been back since it?s been a worse and worse experience and honestly, I doubt I?ll be going back anytime soon. I couldn?t ingood conscious leave up my five star review and show photos of the delicious meal I experienced originally because it hasn?thappened since! The next visit we waited and waited for our meals and then received undercooked omelettes with basically rawingredients inside! We were so hungry we did our best to eat it but it was also flavorless. So very disappointing from thefirst experience when I had enjoyed an item I have not seen on the menus since (shrimp & grits). Since it was so busy that day Idecided to give them the benefit of the doubt and consider it an off day. My daughter was visiting and I decided to take herbecause she loves to try new places and I hoped that I had just experienced an off day. This time we decided to go a bitearlier hoping it wouldn?t be quite so busy and we would receive better service & food. Again the menu wasn?t that impressivethere wasn?t as many selections as the first time we visited. So once again we decided to try omelettes.
