We took a family overnight trip from Cedar Rapids, IA and stayed at the Country Inn and Suites with the water slides for kids.... Someone recommended The Porch to us and we wanted something that was not a bar for our 3 kids (7, 5, 5mo). It was such a cuteplace and very inviting! They had card games for while you were waiting and we played Uno as a family. We enjoyed a pepperonipizza and a breakfast pizza. The pepperoni was HUGE and delicious and my son gobbled it up. In hindsight, we should have ordered1 pizza (one size) and did a half and half. But we took leftovers ?? got to talk with the owner and she was a wonderful,attentive and caring owner. Overall a great family experience. Edited to add that we also enjoyed their ice cream after we weredone with the pizza. It was a beautiful evening and the kids had their ice cream on the porch. Holy smokes.... this place ROCKS! My son and I stopped here for a bite to eat today and we tried the gluten-free cauliflower... crust (I'd never had it before) and you wouldn't have even noticed that it wasn't a regular crust..... it was delicious! Thetoppings were NOT skimpy at all and we had plenty left to take home and enjoy later! The crew was VERY welcoming and helpful.I'll definitely be back for more pizza in the future. Wow! This place is amazing. I was visiting the area and have been wanting to try it for some time now and finally got my... chance. We ordered some drinks, the sweet corn nuggets and the chicken bacon ranch pizza on the cauliflower crust (so nice tohave a gluten-free option). The nuggets were hot, golden and delicious. Hands down this was the best pizza I've ever had! Thecrust was amazing, loaded with toppings, I came hungry and left very happy. The Porch has a welcoming ambiance with superfriendly staff and owners. Mark this as a must see place to visit the next time you are in PDC. I can't wait to come back andvisit again the next time I'm in the area! Read more

What a cute shop. The ladies working were so friendly! They have a lot of ice cream flavors to try. They do give you tiny little... samples on cute little spoons, granddaughter loved the spoon. After deciding on our flavors of ice cream we had a choice of 3different types of cones. We decided to enjoy our cones out on "the porch" since it was a fairly nice day. The restroom wasclean and well stocked. The granddaughter was fascinated by the mirror and seriously tried ripping it off the wall because shejust knew the handle on it opened up to a surprise. They also offer pizza, which I've heard from many people is fantastic. Thechicken Alfredo sounds so good. There were also wraps, salads and sandwiches on the menu. Nice addition to thecommunity! Update: I messed up. The Porch does not have salads or wraps. No idea whyni thought they did. Still a very niceplace for ice cream and pizza! Read more
What a fun surprise in Prairie! We had a great experience at this cozy and delicious venue. You can tell the owners really... care and pay attention to detail. The gluten free and regular pizzas were amazing and the ice cream was delicious as well. Myfamily hung out and played a game while eating pizza. A great night! Read more

Our daughter wanted a "real" Wisconsin Cheese Pizza. We stopped at a pizza restaurant ( not a chain) and it was a... disappointment. We decided to stop here next and get an order to go.
