Had Sunday buffet. A bit of a drive to get there but hadn't tried it in many years. Food ok but not worth long drive. Some food... greasy and salty but if that not issue for you should be fine. Fair amount of options not as many as chain buffet restaurants.Omlet was tasty, waffle station, syrup too sweet though, fried chicken has some seasoning maybe a little more crispy after firstbatch cooked?, mashed potatoes seem instant style, ham and roast beef available, butter beans tasty. If you are a regular, youwill get extra attentive service and I get that but just saying it stands out. Try it if you in the area. Read more

What a surprise! We came here for the Sunday lunch buffet before going hiking at Powhatan State Park. The food was absolutely... heavenly, it really put me in mind of Sunday dinners with family and my grandmother's cooking, who was awesome! Molly was ourwaitress and she and the rest of the staff were really friendly and helpful, especially as I have food allergies. That's notsomething you come across often and I really appreciate it. We have been there several times and things never change, seems like they have a problem serving black people. We went this... morning and our waitress never came back to ask if we wanted more coffee or anything, but she was communicating with the couplebehind us who were white. Walk in and some of the waitress just looks at us and then finally one says sit anywhere you like.This was ou last time going there. I think they just tolerate black people when they come there, don't really want them there. Read more

Great place to dine and you're treated like family. We eat there often. From the moment you enter and are greeted by Tracy or... Mike , you feel truly welcome. Joe, the chef, is moving about the dining room checking on meals, as is the wait staff. Thumbs upto Amy,Christine, Jackie, Lori, Mallory, Sally and Tracey G. This hidden gem is located in the town of Powhatan directly across from the courthouse. The waitresses and cooks always make me... feel welcome. The food is absolutely amazing and very tasty. We were here to see The Taters band and they were great. First time at County Seat and we were very impressed. Looks like they... have a very nice buffet that many seemed to be enjoying. I instead ordered the oysters and was very pleased. Good mashedpotatoes a gravy too. Wife's burger was good, but not her favorite. Servers were excellent on a very hectic and crowdedevening. I think ours was Lauri...she was superb. Curiously, they seem to close at 8, but maybe those hours are extended aswe get into the summer. Read more
