Reviews for Waffle House in Powell, TN
After a weekend in Knoxville, we stopped and had breakfast. Ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, toast and coffee.... Everything was hot when served, tasted good. Server was very attentive. We were able to get a booth as soon as we walked in therestaurant. I was impressed watching the cook and how she kept orders straight. Read more
Just got off work so was very tired so went in to get something to go. As I sat down to wait I got to talking to a female worker... who had been there almost 14 hours, was very friendly and upbeat for someone who had been working so long. Noticed she knewpeople as they came in that were regulars. Ended up eating my food there as that atmosphere was that nice and friendly that itmade me want to stay rather then go home and eat quietly by myself at that hour. Only had one other worker there besides her whowas also very nice and seemed to be a new recruit. Made my food though and it was delicious! Always here mixed reviews of WaffleHouse and its food but every time I have eaten it, it was worth the price and never failed to make me want it again. I guess thePowell Waffle House must be the one to eat at :) Read more
This place had all the charm of the South's favorite breakfast restaurant that most people don't understand. It was clean and... the wait staff was very attentive but we were the only people in the restaurant at 2:00 in the afternoon. The food gets a badrap but if you know what to expect you always get what you expect at Waffle House. They're a niche market and know what they dowell and they keep doing that. It's not somewhere I would want to go everyday but for a late night out with friends or somewhereto go when you're on vacation, it's got what you want. Read more
The waffle house never disappoints when it comes to hot food cooked right. Hamburger was everything you could expect it to be as... far as flavor. The hash browns where golden brown with a slightly crunchy exterior!! There are days they are busy so it'scrowded but the atmosphere is not bad by no means. I would recommend trying this establishment for yourself. Read more
Our waitress Jill was great. All the other employees not so much they kept aggravating Jill and were very loud talking about... stuff that shouldn't be at a place to eat at . The food was good. The food and Jill are the only reasons I gave two stars. Itwill be a long time before I go back if I ever do. Read more
If you have eaten at a Waffle House before, this is the same as all of the others (except this one in Atlanta but I digress). ... This is a known commodity. Great food in a small diner setting. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The food was servedhot and quickly. I'm pretty sure that we were rhe only non-locals in this place. It seats a maximum of 37 people and we had towait 5 minutes or so to sit. Read more
The culture here to treat customer makes you feel you are at the right place and right people serving food to you.
Oh Waffle House. you don't disappoint. We had a very late meal there and we were happy to see that one can trust the brand to be... the same everywhere. Four stars only because the booths are very tight for those who have mobility issues. They are hard to getup from and we had to help Grandpa. Not being a small woman, I noticed that the space between the back and my belly was notcomfortable. Of course if I keep going to Waffle House it is unlikely I will lose those inches because who can say no to thoseoutstanding hash browns and grits?? Certainly not this old lady!! There is a ramp that allowed Grandpa to avoid the step up,but it was two cars down from the handicap parking area. Maybe someone could address that, I do see that at most of the storeswhen we stop there. Read more
