Reviews for Massey's Pizza Powell in Powell, OH
Hot pizza from a very helpful manager. We were the only customers so it was quiet and nice.
Not sure if it's changed management or they just gotten new help but this visit was better than those I've had in the past. The... pizza was cooked a little long on one side but still tasted good and everyone seemed to enjoy the cheese bread. Will definitelybe giving this location a try again in the future. Read more
We were out of town visitors and saw a TV ad for this restaurant. The pizza on the ad looked great and the verbal description... sounded great. We arrived at the restaurant and were greeted by an outdoor sign that said, ?Monday and Tuesday, Large onetopping pizza, $14.99? (picture of sign was taken). We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and were charged $18.99. I explained tothe cashier that the sign at the front said the pizza was $14.99. He said, ?Oh, we haven?t had that price for two years!? Hardto believe no one had failed to change the sign in two years OR read the sign they were putting out. HE WOULD NOT HONOR THEIRADVERTISED PRICE! VERY, VERY DISHONEST/ DISINGENUOUS! Soda fountain was not working so we had to have water! The bright sidewas the pizza! It was very good! Read more
My family can be picky eaters, especially when trying something new. They were very impressed. Even complimented the leftovers... the next day! Read more
I've been a Massey's customer for over 40 years. Since moving out of state about 12 years ago, we have ordered it shipped, snuck... it in our suitcases on airplanes, driven across the country with pizza packed in ice dozens of times and bragged on the bestpizza on earth. We were back in OH for a few weeks and ordered a pizza via an online delivery service. Weird...maybe a coupleof teaspoons of cornmeal under the crust and the crust was quite overdone. But we love the sauce and the curly pepperoni andchalked it up to the delivery service. They must have shaken the box a little too much and they probably have cornmeal all overtheir car. A week or so later, we ordered again and this time my husband picked it up from the Sawmill/Powell Road location.Same, scenario. For the first time EVER, Massey's leftovers got THROWN AWAY I messaged Massey's on Facebook and they repliedasking which location. I answered them. (by the way I have not heard anything from them since they asked what location and Itold them about the third problem as well--crickets). I was heading back home and called to get a pizza to sneak into mysuitcase. I told the person that answered the phone that I wanted extra cornmeal and not to cut it as I was going to freeze ittaking it in my suitcase overseas. I told him several times...extra cornmeal like Massey's Pizza. Lots of cornmeal. (That iswhat keeps the pizza from sticking and burning and makes the crust extra crunchy.) Picked it up. Barely any cornmeal andburned. This time we returned to the store and asked for a refund. I gave you three tries. Bye, bye Masseys. My secondfavorite pizza has moved up to number 1. Next time we're in town we're headed right to Tommy's. (Photos...one shows me holdingup the burned pizza with a minuscule amount of corn meal and one shows what Massy's pizza crust used to look like). Read more
Pizza here was decent. In my opinion similar to Donatoes but not quite as good.
We wanted to try the cauliflower crusted pizza. It was delicious but for the price it kind of made us rethink if we wanted to... try this place again. Read more
