I love this place. Food is consistently good and depending on the time you go, the service is either horrible or terrific. I... tend to have early dinners, usually about 4 pm, and the service is not good. Doesn't bother me because I'm never in a hurry. IfI eat later, around 6 or so, the service is great. Always worth going, however. UPDATE:. Not sure what happened but the servicewas horrible tonight. We sat for 15 minutes before we even got water, chips and salsa. When we got our food it was barely warm.The food tasted different from other times we've been there. Very disappointed. Read more
One of our favorite places in Powell. Amazing food. Great staff. We love Azteca. All the specials are yummy cannot recommend... anything. Every-time we order something new and we do eat at Azteca at least once a week. Oh and the margaritas are not to bemissed. Read more
This was our first visit to Azteca Mexican Grill. Manny (the owner) greeted us and we felt like a special guest. We have been to... dozens of Mexican restaurants in many cities and Azteca was terrific. The food quality excellent, portions were generous.Service was friendly and fast. Amazing beef tacos. Steak grande burrito was a bit dry, but huge. The molcajete was really impressive, like fajitas on steroids.... It can probably feed 2. The fried ice cream left much to be desired, topping tasted chewy rather than crispy, like eatingoatmeal pieces with my ice cream. The server was very attentive, almost too much so lol. She kept checking on us as we weretaking our time slowly finishing our meal, like they needed the table or something, but the whole restaurant was almost empty ona Sunday evening. There is an outdoor eating area and spacious indoor area too. Lots of tv screens, all tuned to soccer or golf.Tortilla chips and salsa provided for the table, we also got a small dish of queso, which was good, but they didn?t skim off thedried cheese so we got a big lump of it in our bowl. Hands down the best carnitas ever! I mean I lived in Mexico and between Mexico and Ohio nothing compares to these amazing... carnitas, I literally can't even eat it anywhere else. Aside from the 5 star carnitas, the staff and the owner are so welcoming.Its always a good time! Read more
