This place has gone through many ownership changes. The latest incarnation continues the tradition of past owners - tasty food... with generous portions. They are also flexible when asking for alterations to standard dishes. Read more

As an Armed Forces retiree and new resident of California, I frequently visit this establishment particularly for their... OUTSTANDING mini tacos! The "Adobada" and "Pollo Asado" are some of very best I've ever had! Earlier this evening, I called topay compliments to the chef (Danny) after I crushed two (2) of each. The tacos were especially excellent tonight because hecooked the pork and chicken to this lovely "golden brown and red" color topped with grilled onions and fresh cilantro! Muydelicioso! Even got the word out to a fellow resident in a nearby community! Please do yourself a great justice and supportSalsa Mexican Food of Poway, California! Danny has an eye for culinary excellence! I'm going to have to go back tomorrow andSunday! Not blowing smoke up no one's behind! These tacos are that good! STOP PLAYIN' AND GO GET SOME!!! NOW!!! THAT IS ANORDER!! Read more

Been coming here since they opened. The street mini tacos are top 3 in the Poway, RB, and RP area. I'm from LA where we have... King Taco and amazing hole in the wall taco shops and street vendors, and all of San Diego taco places are nasty. Carnitas andCarne Asada street tacos are worth a trip. The staff knows my family well as we come at least once a week minimum. Very friendlygenuine people. Read more

Shrimp Cocktail was too small, no clamato, just nasty. 14.99$ is overpriced. The carne asada plate was not cooked fresh, it was... old and dry like it was made in the morning. I felt like this place ripped me off. Read more

This normally drive-through mexican place has nice and tasty burritos but the s Carne asada quesadilla we got was bland and... super oily (I would not recommend). Go for burritos. We haven't tried the platters, but they look decent. There's essentiallyno parking on the premises, but we parked in and walked from the adjacent shopping center parking lot, which has ample spots. There are tables to sit outside under a covered area and to enjoy your food (as seen in existing review photos on Google). Itwas busy with drive through customers during lunch and we were among 3 walk-up & take-away customers during our lunch there(outside)--but we got our food within 10 mins. Read more

Great food!! I have not been able to find decent non greasy tasty mexican food in poway. We have lots of places to eat but... honestly none as good as this place. I have to say it is on the expensive side but well worth the price for the taste of thefood. The hot sauces were tasty along with the carrots!! We had Rolled Tacos, Rice, Beans and Carne Asada burrito. Everythingwas fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this place. Read more
