Always great and friendly service whenever I come here. The chicken strips are always delicious and so is the breading around... them. The fries smack too! Which is why I've been here 4 times in the past two weeks. The two black ladies Cheri and I forgotthe other lady's name, they're always professional and very sweet. They never forget my napkins, sauce or anything else. Allfast food employees should be like them. Read more
Ordered through Grubhub. Driver forgot my drink. Grubhub credited me. The chicken wasn't all that and the fries were cold. Only... thing interesting was the sauce but I've had better tasting chicken tenders from a certain fast food chain. Read more
This review is for the GO Bird location at 5105 George Washington Hwy in Portsmouth. A couple of days ago, I was curious to try... out this place as I love supporting locals, as they could surely use more money & support more so than big, corporate chainedrestaurants & stores in which they will always make more money. I went to the walk-up window to order, & there were two guysworking inside of there. One of them kept socializing with people inside of one vehicle over through the drive-thru window whileI was trying to get his attention so that he could take my order. You have customers waiting, especially at the Drive-Thru! Youdon't have time to be socializing! I've waited for about 5 minutes before he had done so. Then afterwards, I waited for likebetween 10 & 15 MINUTES just for my food to arrive! It was so embarrassing when a couple of relatives of mine were wonderingwhat was happening. As for the food? The chicken sandwich combo along with a couple of tenders that I've ordered tasted averageat best. The tender portion sizes were small as well for the high prices that they had! It was the GO Bird Sauce that had savedthem. Fries were good, though. All in all, I received terrible customer service, & average food that wasn't worth the money orthe long wait. The chicken tenders and fries are good. Mine was cooked perfectly- hot and crispy. Fries were hot and crispy as well. ... Friendly staff. Looks like they are trying hard to make the complaints I see here go away. As for the price, well, they are nomore expensive than that chain chicken joint that has crinkle-cut fries. The service was fast, but that?s all that was appealing regarding Go Bird. The cashier wasn?t rude, but she did walk away once... during my order without warning. She did return quickly and completed my order. The chicken strips were average with a uniqueflavor. The biggest disappointment were the fries which seemed uncooked as they were soggy and cold. (I only live 1.5 miles fromGo Bird so it didn?t get cold in transit.) The sweet tea was so sweet that the 13 year old said, ?I feel like I?m drinking CandyLand.? I think I?d much prefer this place over a chain. I like the simplicity. Focus on a few things and get them right. The batter is... pleasant. I like a crinkle cut French fry. The slaw I had wasn?t the freshest otherwise I?d have much higher notches for it. The?bird sauce? is fun. Good job. Read more
Great tenders. The crinkle cut fries appeared unappealing but they were tasty. The chicken and fries were flavorful and freshly... cooked. The "bird" sauce is good. It's just mayo and salt-free seasonings. They give you nice slices of toast which seemsunusual but they're good too. Very similar to Cane's Chicken but bursting with more flavor. The drink cup and bags are genericbut, that only hurts the presentation. Go Bird is a GO! Read more
This place is ok. The chicken is "reasonable", the sauce is not the greatest tho. I think the fries are the ones from Walmart,... they taste and feel the same. I love small businesses ,and I want every business to excel but, the service was ight. The guyseems genuin enough. Over all it was an "ok" experience, but we will not be going here again. Read more
