Having lived in the area for several years now, I must say this is the first place where they exceeded our expectations with the... quality of food. We have tried other Asian restaurants in the area (both RI & MA sides) and have only come across "typical &average." The sushi at Mindy's was good (ginger was Fresh) and my husband really enjoyed his Gen. Tao's tofu. We would deforder from them again. I would give 4 stars except the customer service over the phone was lacking. The girl got the job donewith the bare minimum but she seemed very inexperienced. Read more
Not sure why anyone would give this place less than 5 stars. My server Alex was friendly and brought everything out as soon as... it was ready. The good: order online process was easy and the food was ready in the time frame I requested. The General Taos chicken was... pretty tasty and had a nice kick to it. The restaurant seemed super cute inside and everyone I came in contact with wasfriendly. The bad: the hostess only gave me one of my bags of food, luckily I checked my order when I got in the car and wasable to just walk back in as opposed to having to drive all the way back to get the second (which held a majority of my order).The fried rice was way too salty, although my husband would probably disagree with me on this. The crab Rangoon wasdisappointing and only tasted like cream cheese and scallion, I didn?t see or taste a single hint of crab in it. I ordered thespicy seafood salad and I?m pretty sure I got the kani salad instead because there was no spice, no octopus, no shrimp, and noavocado in it? the rainbow roll was okay except the fish selection on top of the roll was really mushy and had no flavor. Delicious food with a wide variety of Asian choices. I had the Udon noodle soup which I loved. The portions are quite generous,... and all servings are visually appealing. The bubble tea pearls were too big for my straw, but the coconut milk tea was good. Read more
Unfortunately the restaurant is still working out the managing logistics of preparing food in a timely manner, staffing,... answering the phone, getting picking-up food orders out, and sitting people for dine-in. We called in our take-out order 1 hourand 10 mins ahead of time. After getting there to pick up the food, I still had to wait 1/2 hour before the food came out. Myfood ended up being dry. This is accurate and not exaggerated. Overall our experiences has been the food is very good when theyare not under stress and the service is very slow regardless. Read more
From the outside still looks like a diner.. but inside refurbished.. sushi counter that seats 8... 4/2tops right down the middle... and 6/4tops that can be rearranged. Staff is friendly and the 1 waitress zips around ensuring the food is still steaming when itgets to your table. With 1 server/bartender the wait is minimal and served with a smile and thank you!!! We?ve loved Mindy?s many times for take out but I took my 2 toddlers today and dined in. As a Mom I cannot express how grateful... I was when my kids chicken fingers and fried came out a good 15 minutes before my meal. I didn?t even have to ask, they musthave just rushed their order.
