It calls itself takeout, but there are tables where it looks like you can eat. Two nice people work there. The food was good and... reasonably priced. Read more

To me, a limited or smaller menu such as you will find at Taaza Takeout suggests that the food is freshly made rather than... prepared in advance, and that the dishes are perfected by a chef who cares more about quality than quantity of offerings. Taazais a small family business well worth trying. 2 of us split a saag paneer dish, butter chicken, and chicken tikka masala. Therewas plenty of rice leftover and it was flavorful and satisfying. The naan was smaller but heartier than others I've tried, whichI think may be a regional difference. We New Englanders can be a tough crowd to please - we're often very routine-driven - butI'm confident this business will do well, and recommend that people give them a try. Read more

This is our new favorite takeout restaurant in Portsmouth. They do takeout but there are some tables and chairs for those who... want to eat at the restaurant. My husband got the lamb curry and I got the butter chicken. Each meal was especially flavorfuland the curries in each dish were different, which is very important to me. Other restaurants in the area seem to use the samecurry for every dish. We opted for Hot when ordering our meals. That is the middle spice option. That was the perfect amount ofheat to me and I normally add extra heat to everything I cook. We also ordered vegetable samosas which were very crispy andfresh. The Tamarind chutney had a good balance of sweet and tangy. I look forward to trying the Bhindi Masala in the future. Thestaff is very friendly, the restaurant is very clean and I highly recommend that people give Taaza a try. Read more

My wife and I were on our way to try another restaurant and discovered Taaza. Wow?. If Indian cuisine is your happy place?.Taaza... Taaza Taaza. Its a take out , though they do have tables to dine in. This is good for the hungry that can not endure the hangrydrive home. I went all out, and ordered both naan variety, both samosa offerings , a butter chicken and lamb curry. Perfectportions . My wife and I split it, she had leftovers, me , not so much. My meal was just enough to nap dust me. Fresh, authenticand price perfect. Staff is there and available and engaging. When asked for heat preference go middle of the road and you willbe delighted. You can grade your endurance level without taking a Chuck Norris kick to the taste buds. Thank You Taaza for agreat experience. Bing ,PS Grab a lassi for the ride home Read more

Save your money and DO NOT go here. This place is a complete scam. Their tandoori naan is just store bought pita bread and all... of their food is prepackaged frozen food that they just heat up. Not to mention all of their food is overpriced, the food theyserve can all be found in the frozen food aisle of a store and it'll be much cheaper. Read more

On the menu, the garlic naan they have is $3, but what they serve is pita bread with some oil on top. You can buy 10 pita bread... in a store for just $2. Their punjabi chole is pre-packaged, and so is their chicken kebab. This place is a scam and you shouldavoid it. It is preying on the people who don't know what this food is like. A restuarant is not supposed to serve pre-packageditems, or lie about the items either. Read more

Four stars. Good taste. This Indian cuisine is from a region where the dishes are not made with a lot of cream which is a good... thing. My only issue is that it was a little pricey for the portion. My advice. Charge a bit mor for larger portions or have twooptions, lunch and dinner. Nice owner/chef. Read more

Super friendly and helpful staff. Happy to go over the menu, answer questions, etc. I tried the samosa chat, chicken biryani,... and Punjabi chole. Everything was delicious, opening the samosa chat released aromatics of black salt in the chat masala. Wellseasoned with a mild background heat. Mostly excited to have a proper chat on the Seacoast. The chole has beautifullycaramelized onions, fresh tomato, green onion, coriander, and of course chole (chickpeas). Topped with additional whole spices,I'm guessing from a tadka, this dish is probably a favorite. Wish I asked for raita with the chicken biryani, however it wasstill very flavorful with tender bone-in chicken. I will definitely be back. Read more
