What a wonderful little diner! If you're in the area and looking for some good old fashioned American eats, stop on in! We... went during a bit of slow-hours, probably around 3pm. As such we were seated immediately. I went with my wife, but I'll offeronly my opinion here. I ordered a vanilla coke and got it quickly. Then put in for an appetizer of onion rings and a special forthe day. The onion rings are great. Very crispy with flavorful batter, not over battered. They also came in with a dillhorseradish dip which was phenomenal. My entree was a BBQ meatloaf sandwich, served with fries. The sandwich was wonderful, andI really appreciated the pickled onions. But the meatloaf felt a bit like it skimped on the meat and leaned into theloaf. Finally we finished it off with a world-class banana split. Now I'll start with my gripe: it can hardly be a banana splitif the banana is itself not split. But I digress. The toppings featured generous chunks of real fruit which was refreshing, andthe ice cream was incredibly rich and flavorful. P.S. the silverware is somewhat magnetic Read more

Loved the vibe of this place! There was a 30 min wait, but once we got a table and sat down, we were served pretty quickly. The... food was pretty good; I ordered one of the specials and it was savory! It?s definitely a touristy spot, but the food is decent! Read more

Great place with an amazing array of menu choices. Went here for dinner because of the reviews and it was close to the hotel.... If I?m being honest I didn?t really like my meal - not because it wasn?t prepared correctly but it just didn?t hit my tastebudslike I thought it would. My wife loved her soup and the cake was decent. I thought the Fowl Balls were decent but a bit dry. I?mnot sure what hit me wrong about the sandwich but I should have stuck with breakfast which was my first choice. Everyone wassuper nice and our server from Wisconsin was wonderful. I?m positive if I tried something different I?d like it. Read more

Really liked this place. The pulled pork was so good and the potatoes omg. I hope to come back 1 day. I was visiting my sister... and her husband in New Hampshire and she was taking me to see Hampton Beach and we stopped in here for breakfast that morning Read more

We loved this restaurant and bar so much that we went there 3 times during our stay in Portsmouth. Everything we ordered was... great. The staff is so kind and helpful, and we met some locals who were super friendly and gave us some great attractions tovisit while we were in town. 100 percent recommend. Can't wait to go back when we are in town again. Read more

Big portions and great food. The turkey meatloaf was overwhelming but very enjoyable. I might have left half. Prices are very... reasonable. Read more

??A+ FOOD & ATMOSPHERE?? I stumbled across Roundabout Diner quite on accident while driving through Portsmouth on a daytrip,... not knowing about its award-winning reputation. Hands-down my favorite dinner I ate in New Hampshire! The atmosphere carriesitself throughout the experience with palpable, vintage-diner energy. Raucous conversation, frequent laughter, personableservice, vibrant red counters, and classic checkerboard tiling converge to create a strong sense of time and place. My waitressprovided every accommodation and paid careful attention to my dining experience. I savored my Corned Beef Reuben (slow-cooked,thick-cut slices, with melted Swiss and sauerkraut; the grilled marble rye bread absolutely makes it!) and toasty-brown wafflefries. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be making another pit-stop! (There's a menu full of mouth-watering-looking dessertsand breakfast foods to add to my repertoire.) Read more

Always a yummy meal here? especially when you?re hungry before anyone else is open?!! Loved the Portobello eggs Benedict, sub... English muffin for sourdough! Hot and iced coffee were both very bitter and burnt, but the food is always worth the trip???? Make sure to try the artichoke tomato melt! Read more
