Had an amazing lunch today at the roof top lounge at Envio in Portsmouth. The drinks, food, and views on a beautiful day were... made even better by the stellar service that we received from Lila. This woman did it all, hostess, bartender, server. She waswarm, friendly and and amazing asset to this restaurant. Wow, looking forward to our next visit! Thanks Lila! Read more

Another excellent lunch on the Rooftop! To start off with, I forgot my sunglasses and when you're on the rooftop there's very... little shade. They gave me complimentary Tito's sunglasses which was funny but very considerate. There's not a huge selection offood, and it doesn't look like the menu changes very often. But if you're looking for lovely service, great drinks, and decentfood with a beautiful atmosphere indoors or out, this is a great place to go. I had the hummus plate, and the melon plate, witha lovely Sauvignon blanc. Hubby had mussels (came with crispy fries), and meatballs. The fries placed on top of the musselslooked decorative but were sloppy to eat. Food was very fresh. The rooftop is spread out and there is also an inside area forseating if you want to stay out of the sun. Very classy, modern vibe. Read more

This is a great place with an incredible staff. The drinks and food were amazing and it has a fantastic view. The only reason we... couldn't give it 5 stars was because the wait was long and while the whole crew was "all hands on deck", they were pretty shortstaffed. Please note the staff was incredibly sympathetic to things taking longer than usual (our 1st time) and we appreciatedthat...we will definitely be back the next time we visit! Read more

Amazing food and atmosphere. The wait staff was phenomenal. The $100 to reserve an igloo for 2 hours was money well spent on... an amazing evening of food and drinks. Updating for a summer visit. The igloos are gone and the full rooftop deck is aavailable for seating. Worth a visit and a great option for lunch or dinner. Read more

After having a bad experience at another restaurant for my husband's birthday, we decided to get a quick drink here and it was... the best decision of the night! Walk in and we're greeted immediately by the friendly, down to earth staff. Sat outside and hada gorgeous view of the sunset! Our drinks were great! The server was so sweet and got my husband a dessert for his birthday. Yaknow, it's the little things ???? Thank you so much for turning our night around! Read more

This place came highly recommended, we were reluctant only because it?s in a hotel. Granted it be a high end Marriott we had our... reservations. However due to 27 degree temperatures with 30mph winds, we decided not to go for a walk and tried it out. Westood at the host/ess stand for 5 min and not one person greeted us. (First dig) several servers, bartenders and bar backs allsaw us (it?s a wide open restaurant yes I?m sure they saw us), yet not one offered to seat us or even so much as say someonewill be right with you. We decide to head to the bar, where we sat for not terribly long before we were ?greeted? if you cancall it that. The bartender slapped down a drink menu and a dinner menu down in front of us and kept walking. (Second dig) Shecomes back to take our orders (she never offered her name, and I didn?t observe a name tag), my boyfriend orders a common beer, the bartender smirks and says yea we don?t have that but we have ?? As if he should have known because the drink menu was rightin front of us. But he didn?t look at it because it wasn?t presented as a drink menu, it was just slapped down in front of us,so he thought it was the menu and the actual menu was the specials. (Easy and commonly made mistake) even still she doesn?toffer us the drink menu, I am observing the liquor selection behind her, when she says ?do you just want more time???.(No but amore pleasant service would have been nice) The food was ok at best. The ravioli was tasty but extremely extremely greasy, aswere the carrots. Worse yet there were LITERALLY 5?yep 5 raviolis on the plate. The burger my boyfriend says ?it was a burger?,I don?t like burgers so I can offer no more judgement than that. I will say the fries were hot, fresh and crispy. The appletart was amazing?but it came with whip cream not ice cream?.I found that strange?AND the dessert menu was literally on a 4x6paper ?card? with food stains. That had my boyfriend not seen her lay down, I would have thought it Read more

This place has gotten a lot of heat lately as the go to new spot in town, but it's largely undeserved. Don't get me wrong.... There's nothing really bad about the place, but there's nothing really outstanding either to justify the hype. First, thesetting is nice, not great. For a rooftop setting the views are...okay? You get a good view of a giant salt pile and a bridge. No view of downtown or North Mill Pond. Decor is nice, but it feels like a hotel restaurant. Service was really good. Ourserver was attentive, friendly and always available. Food was, again, good, not great. The charcuterie board tried to hidesmall cheese and meat portions with lots of pickled vegetables and raisins. My flatbread pizza was just a regular small ovalpizza. My wife's ravioli had 2 two large ravioli and felt more like an appetizer. Desert was a strawberry shortcake that washuge. Easily good for 2 or more people Prices were okay, better than hotel averages. All in all, slightly better than normalhotel fare, but there are much better views and food within walking distance.
