Very good food and services. And a very good choice loved it.
It was a pretty standard pub. We went there for the steak tartar that another review mentioned. We found it warm and bland. ... The escargot was tiny and the cheese burnt. Salad was very nice with a decent vinaigrette and the largest and most flavorfulcapers that I've ever experienced. I'm embarrassingly anglophone, while the waitress was french and visibly not happy to bedealing with someone who couldn't speak her native tongue and visibly slowed her efforts and interest when she realized myapparent failing. Fortunately my wife saved my butt being bilingual. Still the waitress upheld the stereotype of the rudenessthat many people have told me about over the years. I'm glad to have also experienced many astonishingly friendly FrenchCanadians to overwhelm these unfortunate examples. I'll try to help anyone despite what language or cultural background.
