Everything was good. The Salmon cheek/collar was perfectly grilled. The rice was fluffy. Very small restaurant so be ready for a... wait or for things to be out. Read more
The tempura udon was delicious as was the salmon skin roll sushi. The hours say closing at 9pm, but they will tell you that the... kitchen closes at 8:30 and I saw them turn away people after that time. Friendly staff, but I felt a bit rushed so get thereearly enough to avoid this. The food was tasty so I will go again. Read more
Visiting daughter in Portland and came here for lunch (3rd time for daughter). Food was so good! Lived in Japan for over a... decade and love to check out the chicken karage at different restaurants. This was some of the best I’ve had! Had the dailyspecial with grilled fish…Japanese comfort food! Also had the hiyashi tempura udon…tasted just like you get inJapan. Owner/chef is from Japan and you can tell the time, effort and passion she puts into her cooking. Can’t wait to goback! Read more
Had lunch here after wanting to check out their amazing menu. Had so many things I wanted to try but we opted for the Hana... Chirashi and their rotating lunch special along with chicken karaage and kametama (poached egg). The fried chicken is so crispyand tender. The egg usually goes with the upon but I was craving one so, chef made us one each! The chirashi is very deliciousand portions are generous. My husband really enjoyed his rotating lunch special. He had a stewed mackerel with soft tofu and itcame with sashimi that's fresh and generous. Beautiful restaurant and truly a hidden gem here in Portland. Can't wait to go backand try other things on their menu. Read more

Been here twice, both times were excellent! First got the Chicken Katsu, and second the Udon. Seems like traditional Japanese... cooking, couldn't recommend more. Good service, and good warm sake! Read more
We came here once three years ago and was impressed by the authentic and delicious food such as kamameshi, so I came back again.... The staff are all as attentive and polite and very pleasant as I felt before. We had the Rotating Lunch ($22) and theSpicy Beef Noodle ($17). The lunch was very tasty with each small bowl of food being seasoned in detail. The noodles wereserved with kimuchi The noodles were spiced with kimchi, which was a little different from the Japanese style and taste, but thetaste was delicious. There is a counter, high tables, and a tatami room. The overall Japanese taste is relaxing.????? Read more
