A real gem. I ordered the special chickpea stew with a baked egg which comes with toast with an amazing herb butter melted on... top. I also ordered a biscuit (so good) which came with jam & more herb butter on the side. Initially the stew felt like a smallportion but I left incredibly full. Good coffee and a great drink menu which includes cocktails. Service was great, they werebusy but made the time to acknowledge me the moment I stepped in. Bright and cozy spot with the smoothest, tastiest coffee served in little tea cups. The pastries are delightful; we had a... lavender chocolate chip cookie today. And definitely stay for brunch or lunch also. The breakfast special of griddled breadpudding was delightful with peach jam and rosemary butter on top served with two eggs and bacon. And my partner got thebreakfast sandwich and was equally impressed. We'll definitely be back. Read more
Very rude condescending interaction with the person working here. I?ve been wanting to come here for a long time and finally... made it in with my family. When I asked if they served breakfast I was met with a tone. I informed her Google still said theyserved breakfast and she snapped back that had I of visited their website I would?ve known. She seemed primed for a spat so Iquickly disengaged. My partner found a book he wanted but we?ll just get it from somewhere else. Classic case of ?people willalways remember how you made them feel.?
