Delicious, unique, cozy ambience. My partner and I had the Curry Tofu Hash and the Apple Waffle. Everything was great and we... enjoyed all of the Margaret Keane paintings. Highly recommend! Read more

This cozy little spot serves some of the best German food I've ever had in the country! The staff is quite passionate about food... and hospitality in general. I came here several times during my weekend stay in Portland- and not once did the meals ever miss!Highly recommend the Beef Rouladen and Spätzle. Read more

We had the herbed savory crepes with plum sauce and they were Amazing. I got the stroganoff (pictured) and it's rich and tender... - so delicious. I ordered the vanilla/cherry/champagne cocktail and it was basically perfect. I'm celiac so the gluten freeoptions were essential. I will definitely be back, I can't understand why their dining room wasn't packed full with such greatofferings. Read more

Was so happy to find this gluten free gem in SE Portland! My partner and I stopped in for weekend brunch. We couldn’t decide... between all the delicious options so we shared the eggs Benedict, apple fritters and Austrian pancake. All the dishes weresuperb but those apple fritters are to die for!! They make their own speciality syrups as well. My favorite was the lavender andmy husband preferred the hibiscus. The atmosphere and service were outstanding to boot. We’ll definitely be back!! What a cute little place! The owner was fantastic and friendly. They had so many great gluten free options available. As... previously noted the owners wife has celiac and so he really takes care in making tasteful gluten free foods. We had the Turkeysausage scramble and the bacon Austrian pancake. Everything was fantastic. I highly recommend checking this place out for a nicebrunch! Read more

E P I C - this is a one man show and *show he does! The food served here is German comfort food at its finest. Mr. Wonderful had... the Austrian pancake with plum sauce, he enjoyed it, and I enjoyed the few bites that I swiped from his plate. I had the potatopancakes which were cooked to perfection and they were served with homemade applesauce - which was a memory triggering delight! You can taste the passion in this food! The interior is eclectic and cozy. I liken it to stepping back in time for a trip fromthe 50s through the 70s. It’s quite charming! We are planning a return trip to Sellwood based around this restaurant. I musttry the dinner offerings. Danke! Read more
