The food was really tasty! We get take out from here every now and then and they don’t skimp on the portions. Always very... tasty and I try something different each time. The food is hot and fresh and always ready on time. The price is worth theportion and the ingredients have a good quality. A great local Thai spot to get for family and friends if you don’t wannacook. Read more

Arrived Monday at 6:30pm, promptly ordered and left 45 minutes later without food. Half dozen to go orders were picked up, large... collection of to go bags in kitchen but the dining room treated as we didn't matter or exist. Said goodbye as we left, seemedoffended that we were not going to wait any longer. Only communication we had was an apology at 30 minutes. No food, no drinks, just a sorry and 15 more minutes without food. Smelled great but I'll never know what it tastes like. Read more

Do NOT order through Postmates, order through BeyondMenu on their site or app. Per the business, you'll save yourself and the... store money. That said, this is my absolute favorite go to Thai. Quick service, very nice staff, and exquisite food. Their thaiiced tea is to die for. I could drink a gallon. Pumpkin beef curry is excellent. The Medium spice is just the right level, butif you want a lil more burn, go with hot. Will be going back here many many times more. Thank you! Read more

We decided to try this restaurant last night, order house specials of Seafood Stir Fry and BBQ Teriyaki chicken. Worst meal... I’ve ever had, the Teriyaki chicken was deep fried and so dry it was like 3 days old. The Stir fry had no flavor and was piledon more cabbage than stir fry. Sorry, but I would not recommend this place and so expensive for bad. Good. Read more

Have been coming to Thai Orchid for decades, back when there was the old location off Burnside. In a growing city of... restaurants, Thai food has become a dime a dozen and only the strong or unique survive. I will say that Thai Orchid isconsistent and better than many other newer establishments promoting fusion and glitzy modern style. After spending many yearsdining around Los Angeles and sampling a diverse range of true authentic world cuisines I'm sometimes skeptical to Portland foodreviews, especially when it comes to ethnic food. We recently came here for a family birthday dinner. I hadn't been to thislocation for over ten years so I was interested to see if it was close to what I remembered. The establishment has a nice darkerinterior and decor with a little bit of old Thai charm, which is nice, calm and quiet. Our group was seated in the private roomtoward the back. Plenty of food was ordered and everything was delicious. From Pad Kee Mao with shrimp, Golden Squid, Pad Thai,Pineapple Fried Rice, Thai Salad to Massaman Curry to name a few. Everything was cooked just right, nothing was burnt or dry oroff tasting and bland. Food was hot and came in a steady stream, flavors were authentic, veggies and meats tasted fresh. Servicewas good, attentive and quick. They did forget one dish, but it was quickly rectified. Other than that, no complaints. They alsohave good deals with lunch specials and parking is easy. On a side note, prices here are very average and fair for this styleof food and establishment. Sure you can get a large side of plain rice for less somewhere else but it's not uncommon to see arange of $1.00 - $4.00 from location to location, especially around LA. I surely wouldn't consider it a defining attribute towhat makes a restaurant good or not. This place is fantastic, definitely worth stopping in for. Read more
