Ordered two sandwiches, a quiche, and some bakery items and it was all pretty bad. The quality was terrible, lettuce was NOT... fresh, and they served it on paper plates. The quiche tastes like hay btw and the sandwiches were SO BAD we couldn?t evenfinish. If you like bad food try this place out! Read more
I came here to take a break from a work meeting and decided to pick up some pastries to share with the group. I grabbed a pecan... cinnamon roll and it was good but a bit soft/underdone I?m the middle. The store was pretty spacious but the selection was a bitsparse. Everyone enjoyed the smaller pastries and is right in the heart of downtown. I would come back again earlier in the dayto see if there was a better selection. Read more
I'm sure there are many tasty items here at this bakery that if I were to chose something different it would be delicious. My... litmus test for American French bakeries are the lemon tarts and this one today was just ok. The crust was a bit too hard thatmy plastic knife and fork could not get through with fear of wearing it in my lap. The lemon custard was flavorful and veryrich, to which is why the crust had to be strong enough to hold it without becoming soggy. I ended up scrapping off most of thecustard and eating the remainder of the crust and it was good. Anyways stop in and make up your own mind. 3.5 stars butrounding up because Portland needs the love. Great place and Patisserie ! As a french pâtisserie connoisseur & baker I must say that the St Honoré and Kouign amann were... absolutely delicious. The Mille Feuille wasn?t great tho ! The crème pâtissière tasted like butter and was extremelysweet. Service was great. Will definitely be back! Read more

"The best I've had since actual france" - said unpretentiously We got pain au chocolate, a pear baourdaloue tart and an apple... fritter (I forget the name, more French than that). The apple fitter had a really satisfying flakey bite to it, but the insidewas cold, which was on odd sensation. I'd like to try it room temp-warm next time. The pear tart was solid. The ratio of crustto almond cream to pear was good. Although I sortof wish it was slices of pear across it instead of a big peice, to even outeach bite. The Pain au chocolate has a robust bite with a nice amount of give. There is just the right amount of chocolate tocompliment the butteryness. The atmosphere is light and airy, with all creme paint and glass cabinets. There's a smallselection of juices, as well as savoury foods like quick and sandwiches. Read more
