We call it Benny's after the one time owner from many years ago. He was a Chinese American captured at the Battle of the Bulge... in WW2. Family friend since the 1950's. The burger recipe and restaurant decor hasn't changed in generations. Perfect. Firsttime back since Covid and it was awesome! Tastes exactly how I remember as a kid. I don't know how they do it so consistently. Thank you! Read more

The food was very good, but the service was okay. I always enjoy coming to have their burgers and shakes (which are amazing),... and their sides are good as well? From onion rings to chili cheese tater tots to fries. They have a wonderful and diverse choiceof food you can get, which I greatly appreciate, and the shakes are some of the best in portland. But the service was slow andit took them a while to get our food. But I know that was because the restaurant was slammed and they didn?t have many severs. Read more

Great cooking, good flavor, wonderful server, and the location is perfect! I hope I get to come to this place over and over. And... the people I saw here dining while I was here looked like very good people that I would hang out with. The server was so busyand fast pace from all the customers, I was very impressed that she had the time to show good customer service and hospitalityto all the dine in customers. Only criticism is that it wasn't warm enough inside to feel comfortable without a light jacket orsweater. Read more

Little family owned burger spot thats been here forever. This is a hidden gem high up in the West Hills. This place was packed... when I got here and while I was eating there was a big line to get in. Food is amazing and so are their shakes! I got a freshbanana milkshake with the #14 called the Everything Burger, (1/2-pound burger with bacon, cheddar & fried egg.) There was only 1server but she killed it, she worked very hard with the circumstances given! ???????? Definitely a 5 star burger place! ???? Read more

We were in the area and thought we would check out this place that we hadn?t been to in more than 10 years. We were glad to see... that it was still open - especially in these times. The waitstaff was attentive and welcoming. The menu is expansive and it washard to make a decision. Overall the service was great and would definitely recommend stopping if you are driving down Skyline. Read more

Skyline restaurant could probably be described as a west coast diner. The menu is extensive and laminated on the table,... portions are huge and prices are reasonable. The chocolate milk shakes are thick and creamy with a good balance of syrup and icecream. It was thick enough for a spoon but still capable of using a straw. The hamburgers come in 1/4 and 1/2 lb size and alsoas double patties for each. There are lots of variations to satisfy many tastes. The French fries are extra but well worth the$3,50 cost and plenty for two. Service was fast and friendly. There is a covered outdoor space for dining and 4-5 tablesinside. The place was crowded with a good take out flow even at 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday. The only downside would bethe bathrooms... not the cleanest I've ever seen. Skyline is definitely worth a stop... and come hungry. Read more
