Reviews for Shari's in Portland, OR
Service is good, food mediocre, at least when it comes to breakfast, everything else barely passable. The country fried steak... seems inexpensively made and simply frozen; fried to order. The iced tea is very watered down and mediocre. The location isdismal at best, due, in part, to the number of homeless allowed nearby. The fare is quite inexpensive, but at least in thiscase, you get what you pay for. Read more
Wow. Our breakfast was fantastic! Fresh coffee, crispy bacon, and my omelet was just right. Wait staff was attentive and... friendly. Very impressed and will come back anytime I'm in the area. Read more
Great experience and service. Our server Dory was amazing!!! Highly recommend. Dory gave excellent customer service even though... it was a short staffed night. She was so sweet and followed every special order to the T. Thanks Dory for making our experiencegreat!!! Read more
I had the grilled salmon dinner entree, with steamed broccoli, rice, and a dinner roll. It was fantastic! Light and not... overcooked! Veggies were nice and buttery, especially after drizzling a little juice from the lemon slices that were also partof the meal. Before leaving I figured why not try a piece of pie, right? The pie barely made it back to the hotel with me! Itwas the Marionberry cheesecake pie that I tried, which was a first I had ever even heard of marionberry... but it was verygood!! Mind you I'm not much of a pie eater, and this has me sold!! Definitely worth a shot for those looking to try it. Iforgot my waitresses name, but she was fantastic as well and was very nice which was just awesome. Read more
This was our first time at Shari's and I will say we enjoyed our food. The portion size was good enough for two people. We... ordered an Spring omelette with pancakes, hash brown and toast on the side. To end we ordered the famous Marion berry pie whichwas delicious. The waitress there was sweet and helpful. I would definitely visit this location again. Read more
The food was a lot better than I expected. Great sandwiches, good pie, and my steak, thought slightly undercooked, was really... well-seasoned. Comfortable setting and nice for just hanging out. Read more
*Edit The night after I ate here I woke up with screaming um... Desire to use the bathroom and didn't want to be too far away... for the next two days. Maybe steer clear of the burger. *2nd edit* I ate the leftovers of my wife's grilled cheese with hamafter finally getting my bowels under control from the first run in and it all happened again. I spent the whole next night andday in the bathroom for the 2nd time in a week span. Dang. Guess I won't be eating anything but the breakfast thereagain. *Original review* Pretty good food, the burger was on the drier side and also it was quite large. I should have justgotten a single! They are not making shakes now, unfortunately, because their machine is broken. The wait staff was wonderful, everyone was bright and cheery for being there around 8pm. The physical location was a bit seedy, but inside was stillnice. Would go again! Read more
Literally waited over an hour after we placed our order. Server was apologetic, but we should have been warned that they were... short staffed and food would take forever. . . I get it. Short staffed. We were patient, but what sparked this ZERO star reviewis that after waiting all that time the gravy put on my country fried steak was cold! And when I say cold I'm saying it wasbarely thawed. I was told they had to make new gravy. . . . . Listen. To make "new gravy" it's cooked. Which means it would havebeen hot. This was cold which means it was thawed. . I hate being lied to. To top it off when checking out I was asked howeverything was?!?!? I tried to keep quiet, but the lady insisted. . . So I concede. Thinking they would want to make it right.. All I get is an "I'm sorry" . . . . . .. AVOID THIS PLACE! Read more
