Reviews for Santa Fe Taqueria in Portland, OR
We stopped by for lunch after a long day of bouncing around the coast. Santa Fe was quick with their food, the handsome man... behind the counter was extremely kind, and the food was delicious. We ordered the Mini Nachos (they were not mini), and aSupreme Burrito In-A-Bowl (the bowl was comically small for how much food was in it). Both hit the spot and the outdoor seatingwas a typical 23rd Street people-watching pleasure. We liked their water, too. Delicious. Read more
Loved the lunch special and vibe of this place! Tried 3 different street tacos, the chili verde chicken, Al pastor, and... jackfruit, all delicious. Chips were freshly made with 3 nice salsas. Friendly folks and I got to watch the Timbers game fromthe bar. Read more
Overpriced, tamales red only we ordered twice and we still get red when we ordered green, burritos 15 bucks for rice, beans and... meat, any food cart can get you for way less then that and better flavor, cumin on everything that's the only flavor u get oneverything. Will not go back. Spend over 145 dollars on 3 burritos 3 tamales 1 nachos 5 drinks and 2 fish tacos. No thanks Read more
The drinking water was not potable. The staff were rude and flippant to my fellow patrons and I when we called attention to it-... the water coming out of the dispenser was foaming, I thought it was just dirty glasses at first. He offered me bottled water forfree, but tried to charge my (female) friend for bottled water when she had a similar experience- and then they forgot to cookher meal until we had already finished ours, so she had to take it to go. I addition, the meal was very expensive, and theserving sizes were small. The food itself was deeply disappointing- the chicken in the quesadilla was spicier than Ianticipated, but it didn't distract from how bland and flavorless the rest of the ingredients were. Someone told me that this issupposed to be highly regarded as authentic Mexican cuisine, but I wouldn't go back if you paid me. Read more
I was so happy they had a vegan burrito. The guacamole was fresh, the salsa was amazing. My family and I loved their food.
I ordered the tamales and they had about 2 inches of dough and only a slight bit of meat in them. They weren?t wrapped in a corn... husk, and appeared as though they had been baked in a pan. The texture was thick and mushy (not in a normal tamale way) and Icouldn?t eat it. Certainly not worth it for nearly $20/plate. Read more
I?ve came here before and honestly it was very disappointing this time. The rice was way too dry no flavor, somehow our order... got mixed up because they forgot the extra tacos that we ordered and well let?s say they should of done a better job. The ladyat the register definitely had an attitude and she should not be working the front. Other then that the meat was well cooked andthe beans were okay. Read more
The food was fine. I liked my taco but the prices are outrageous especially for counter service. It was more expensive than... sitdown Mexican food on the same street and the food was mediocre in comparison. For reference a single street taco was $7.Chips and salsa cost $3.50 which are free at most other establishments and to add guacamole it's an additional $9. Read more
