Reviews for San Thai Food Cart in Portland, OR
If you need customers to make a minimum purchase while using a credit card as payment can you please post a sign? I understand... some store owners have to pay a fee for services regarding processing payments but I shouldn?t have to make purchases for itemsI don?t even need. Read more
When the owner asks you if you?ve had the hot spice level before, take that question seriously. This place isn?t playing around... with the spices. Tasty food. Nice owner. Recommended for Thai in the most inner of the inner east side. Read more
This is my second time eating here and the first time I had Pad See Ew. It was really tasty. The second time was not as good. I... ordered Pad Kee Mao, and from the photo on their food truck it?s very dark colored with soy sauce. My noodles, were pale andtasteless. And towards the end of my meal I found a piece of glass. Yes, see photo. I appreciate consistency and transparency. That?s what keeps people coming back. Read more
I went there yesterday with my partner, we ordered 2 of the Pad Thai. When we got our food, we noticed we had no silverware or... napkins, so we had to go back and ask for them, as well as the customer right before us, who came up to get forks for her orderas we were ordering. So my partner and I both asked for medium out of mild, medium and hot options. I got hot and we knew for afact that I did because his was much more mild than mine. We approached the staff and asked them if they could fix the order, they flat our denied any wrongdoing, told us we were wrong and refused to remake our order. One thing anyone trying to make itin the food industry should know is that the CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! It would have cost them 50 cents to remake our order, but they let their pride interfere with their business! Very unprofessional! We won't be going there again. Very rude older Thailady who made our food, kept giving us dirty looks after we said that. Oh, and they served our bubble tea warm, so you bobabubbles melted together and got stuck in the straw! Yuck! Read more
Love these ladies! I call while I?m at work then walk over there and by the time I get there my order is ready to go! One thing... to watch out for is the level of spice. I always order mild because the level of spice varies based on what they cooked prior toyour dish, so if you like things that are super spicy there?s no problem, but if you enjoy a little kick but not too much Iwould recommend sticking to mild. This is some of the best Thai food I've had in Portland, from a cart or restaurant. Be sure to order the salad rolls, I didn't... realize how good salad rolls could be until I ate them here. Very friendly people too! Read more
This is my favorite lunch spot, and I eat here 3 times a week. The food is reliably delicious (my favorite is the ginger stir... fry with pork, extra spicy), and I appreciate that it's got plenty of well-seasoned vegetables to provide tastyhealthiness. Note that coming right around noon is kind of crowded--I find it's better to come a little earlier (or later) toavoid the rush. Read more
