Love their spring rolls, fresh and fried. I love getting Pad Thai and the mango/rice dessert.

Great attentive table service. The yellow curry was thick creamy and sweet with the spice at medium it was just the right... amount to warm my mouth. A very affordable lunch at just $10 Read more

Ordered for pick up online and it was seamless. Order was ready when we got there - pad Thai was really good. Would probably get... a higher spice level next time to add some more flavor (mild was too mild) Read more

We have been in search of good Thai take out since our favorite place in NW, eSan Thai off NW Thurman, closed down awhile back. ... But every time we order from some place new, we are sadly disappointed? until tonight. Red Onion is officially our new go toplace for anything and everything Thai. Their food was positively on point and so delicious, with the flavors absolutelybursting in your mouth with every bite. You won?t find any of that bland Thai food that you get at most places here. Wedecided to go with the basics our first time around and had the Pad Thai, the Pineapple Fried Rice, Tom Kha Soup and Fried EggRolls, and everything was divine! We will definitely step out of our comfort zone and be a little more adventurous the nexttime we visit as I?m sure we will be pleased with whatever we order. If it was this good on takeout, I cannot even imagine howgood it would be if we had eaten it fresh at the restaurant when it was still piping hot. I took pics, but they honestly don?teven begin to do it justice. Overall, if you are looking for good quality tasty Thai food in Portland, this is THE PLACE to go. Dine in or take out, you won?t be disappointed. Read more

We went for the lunch special for take out. Got the drunken noodles and chef special with prawns. The chef special was a... disaster! Very little sauce. Pictures are before taking a bite. Will not be going back. Too many other places to explore andenjoy! [I tried responding to email provided by owner but I received a reply from Google that there is no such email address] Read more

I love Thai and this place is authentic and delicious. Service for takeout was okay but the food was excellent and the lunch... prices were equally excellent. The rice was tasty, the vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the noodles were scrumptious. Read more
