So I've never gotten pizza here before but I've heard great things about this place. I decided to try it out for delivery with a... pepperoni pie. I've already had a couple of different detriot style pies in the city so I knew what to expect but this pizza wasjust not good. There was either very little sauce or somebody had forgotten to put it on making it super dry. The crust was alsoovercooked past the point of caramelization and just plain hard to bite into. Honestly, some of the best pizza we’ve ever had. The crust was sufficiently juicy and crunchy and the sauce on top really... sealed the deal. We just wanted a little spice! Like some spicy marinara or something. However, we did order the late nightpizza so there were limited options. Read more
was lucky enough to get one of the promotional pizzas advertised on their instagram... and i’m glad i did! very generous offer... ! i felt like i won a prize! the ordering process and website was simple and efficient. pickup was smooth and timely. got acouple views of the inside through the pickup window, the place looks great, i hope we get to enjoy the dining room soon! soabout the pizza, it was hearty, plenty of cheese and toppings and sauce and the crust was a great balance of chewy and crunchyon the edges. gotta love those corner pieces! overall very tasty and very filling. definitely on my short list for quality pizzain the neighborhood. thanks pop pizza! I used to love this gluten free pizza but now they are always out of items and causing problems through Caviar and also not able... to speak enough English to solve said problems. Pretty tragic to see a great spot go so downhill. It has cost me money (I’lleither not get pizzas or get wrong orders) when I try and order from this place the last 4-5 times. The quality has also gonedown since they opened. I wish there was something I could do to help, sadly bringing my business here isn’t a way I can dothat anymore. Before I discovered Pop Pizza I was ordering from The 1905 every week, sadly they lost their pizza chef and itwent downhill too. Portland needs to step up it’s gluten free pizza game.
