Best wood fired pizza in Portland! All the ingredients are top of the line and delicious. We LOVE their gluten free crust, it?s... almost as good as the normal crust. Read more

I?m highly sensitive gluten intolerant and have never had a reaction to their gluten free pizza. It?s amazingly good - doesn?t... taste like gluten free. Staff is always super friendly when I go grab my take out pizza. Got the Pig and Apple pizza with a sideof arugula (gluten and dairy free) and it was phenomenal! Can?t wait to have it again. Sorry no pictures - we devoured it waytoo fast. Read more

The vegan margarita pizza here is delicious, I really enjoyed it! However I was upset that they don?t include a vegan option for... the happy hour price. It doesn?t make sense that they charge two dollars extra for vegan margarita pizza not in happy hour, butthen during happy hour you have to pay 8 dollars more. Please change this! Read more

These folks need to learn how to use their pizza oven, and how to make a basic sauce. The pizza I got was soupy, had both raw... and burned spots, and the bottom was covered in ash. This is not a question of style; it's the result of apathy. All of theseerrors could easily be avoided with the application of some technique. An oven with high ambient temperature and glowing coalswill cook the pizza evenly and produce a crisp crust. The oven that cooked the Otto's pizza was heated by candle-power: lowambient temperature with high flames that scorch the edge of the pizza and leave the dough soft and raw. The watery tomato saucesoaked through the bottom of the pizza, making it best served in a cup instead of a plate because all the toppings slid off thelimp wet crust. There is also something wrong with the dough. It's rubbery, and doesn't produce a crust as much as it results ina wad of gum. Another basic pizza cook rule Otto overlooked: don't pile-up the toppings so everything slides to the center asthe pizza cooks; it's yet another factor contributing to raw soggy pizza. Also, brush the ash off the bottom of the oven - thenask yourself why there is ash on your cooking surface in the first place. I worked a wood-fired brick pizza oven for over a yearas a young adult and I was expected to overcome all this basic ineptitude in my first few days of training. Otto is still intraining, and has been for a long time. Read more

Wonderful fresh salad with true mixed greens. Perfectly kissed with just enough Caesar dressing. The kids size pepperoni pizza... just the perfect size for mommy and baby to share. The outdoor dining was perfect on a nice 80 degree summer day. Read more

We ordered takeout here while in Portland on vacation. I got the bufala, bf got the arugula and speck. Nothing beats a true... Italian pizza and this hits the mark for me. There was something that resembled shredded cheese on there which is not anythingI've seen anywhere in Italy before, and the basil was a bit burnt and bitter (not sweet), but overall it was delicious and Iwould gladly eat here on the regular if I could!! Neapolitan Pizza? Yes. Very good pizza for this style. We have been there a few times. We have tried the salads, garlic bread,... and pizza. Decent selection of beer and wine. We have brought our 20 month old son and he loves the pizza. Its not quiet thereso he can carry on and have fun. I love their other location so I was really excited to have this location open up a few blocksfrom us. Thank you! Read more
