9.5/10: Piazza Italia is as authentic as it gets when it comes to Italian cuisine. The restaurant is decorative with the... football jerseys on the ceiling and the serving staff were very accommodating. At the restaurant, my friend ordered the bucatiniall 'amatriciana, substituting the pancetta for guanciale to request, and I ordered the linguine alle vongole. Starting with theamatriciana, the bucatini had a nice bite to it. The guanciale was tender and the sauce was flavorful. On the other hand, thelinguine alle vongole was the best I?ve ever had. The clams were fresh and the white wine sauce along with the garlic, redpepper flakes, and parsley was delicious. Overall, Piazza Italia is a must visit while in Portland. You certainly will not bedisappointed. Read more

Looking for a last minute late night meal and we stumbled on this place. Was hoping for some pizza, but this place does not... serve pizza. However, we were pleased with the pasta that we ordered. The food tasted authentic and fresh. We wanted to orderthe bruschetta appetizer, but because we arrived so late they were already out for the evening. The server we had was funny anda pleasure, but he was managing multiple tables, so the service was on the slower side. I would recommend this place, but makesure to arrive early so that you don?t miss out on any of the ingredients as they might run out. I would definitely eat hereagain. ???????? Read more

We went to this restaurant based on the good reviews, but we were disappointed from the beginning. The man that hosted us at the... door seemed like he didn?t want to receive more people, he barely said Hi, just got our phone number and told us we could waitin the bar next door if we want. The antipasto plate was pathetic. We ordered 2 pasta dishes, they tasted good, but they justdropped the dishes and left, never asked if we needed anything else, didn?t even parmesan cheese (which is a must for pasta),and we never had a chance to ask because the server never came back to our table. Nobody smiles in this restaurant, they alllooked miserable. Very disappointing! Read more

Was a busy restaurant on a Saturday night, but was able to get seated quickly. Bruschetta lacked flavor. Liked that they don?t... drown their food in sauce like some other Italian restaurants. Overall flavor was good- but not stellar Read more

If you?re thinking about coming here, do it!! This sweet little Italian restaurant has hole in the wall vibes and is decorated... with a plethora of sports memorabilia. They have an extensive wine collection. Oh my goodness the food was to die for. For allmy gluten free people, they have gluten free lasagna, which we all know can be hard to find in a restaurant!!
