Everyone should try this legendary Portland establishment at least once. I used to work right at cross the street in 2017 and... have been coming ever since. It?s definitely unassuming from the outside but packs a big flavorful punch on the inside. Pricesare very reasonable, the tacos and cheeseburger are some of my favorite in town. Holy smokes this place is fantastic. Coming from Arizona I have had a really tough time finding AZ/NM style Mexican food here in... Portland. A great red chile sauce is hard to come by, but I've finally found it. I got huevos rancheros with red and green chileand it was killer. Went back up to order some breakfast tacos to take home to my partner and couldn't help but steal some redchile carne adovado and it was insane. Incredibly friendly service and affordable to boot. Delicious Mexican style breakfast spot without frills but lots of character. A tight menu you can't go wrong with and good... prices. Friendly staff with great taste in music. Definitely try the carrot habañero sauce! Read more

Friendly service, and huge portions! I had the papas with both salsas, and added bacon and Carne. It was a challenge for me to... finish it, and I am not a small man! I enjoyed this meal on their quaint outdoor seating. Felt like I was served a meal from aTia. Highly recommend! Read more

Glad to see pepperbox survived the pandemic and is still putting out absolutely incredible food. Do yourself a favor and give... this place a visit. Im a Texan and have had my share of amazing Mexican food. Pepperbox cheese enchiladas with the red chilliare the best enchiladas I've ever had. Read more
