I haven't been to a restaurant where every single thing was delicious in a minute but Paadee did that for me! We had the fried... chicken wings, papaya salad, and chicken satay. Every single one of those appetizers were fresh and flavorful. Our husbands gotthe Pad See Ew which they both enjoyed. My friend got the Dungeness Crab Fried Rice and loved it! But the real showstopper wasthe Ba Mhee Pitsanulok, a delicious pork and lime broth soup with egg noodle, fried pork skin, sliced bbq pork, a perfectlypoached egg and pork meatballs. The flavor of the broth was strong, and perfect and the different textures made it so pleasantto eat. My favorite drink was the refreshing Ken Lee martini. I could have 5 of those. The Chamtoy Thai cocktail was also verygood. And don't forget the mango and coconut sticky rice dessert. Loved that they had a lot of GF items for my friend as well.We will definitely be back! Paadee is a small, tucked-in-the-corner restaurant with a great ambience once you step inside. We did notice as we were seated... that there was an unpleasant smell near our table?we were seated by the window with lots of plants, so maybe it was decayingplant matter? It detracted a little bit from the experience. I had been excited to visit after reading reviews and was a littledisappointed with the gai grop sam yan since many reviewers loved it. For me it was too salty and my husband?s description ofthe texture of the meat perfectly perfectly conveys what it was like: ?chicken jerky.? It was very thin and kind of hard tochew. I believe my husband got the pad kee mao, which was tasty, and the mango sticky rice was good as well. The portions weresmaller than at most Thai restaurants (usually we leave with leftovers) but they were the perfect size for one person. I?d bewilling to go back and give them a second try but order a different dish! Read more

Amazing spot to get really good Thai food. Perfectly balanced flavors, sweet, spicy, salty. Don?t skip dessert! Their Thai tea... and chocolate tart is top notch. Sitting inside or outside, they did a good job building an environment for you to enjoy yourmeal in. Read more

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Portland. The Gai Grop Sam Yan is addicting. It is crack chicken. Both fried rice dishes... are amazing. Honestly, you could close your eyes and point at things on the menu and it will be great. Layers of savory, sweet, funky, spicy and sour all come together in a beautiful seranade to your palette. Yes, this place is so good I'm getting poetic.Just go eat there. Read more

really cute interior, yummy food and good cocktails. They don?t seat you until your entire party has arrived FYI and are... requesting proof of vaccination for indoor seating. I want to go back and try more on the menu. Read more

Stopped in for dinner completely by chance ? we were planning to dine at Flying Fish but it was an hour wait. We were seated... immediately outside. We started with drinks which paired well with the food. Next we hit the tempura asparagus salad which wasmy favorite, fresh, delicious, and balanced flavor. Next we got the chicken satay which was flavorful. Afterwards we got the padsee ew with chicken, brussel sprouts salad, and the vegan massaman curry with tofu. Hands down our favorite meal this wholetrip. We will be back when we are in Portland?you should go, too! ?? Read more
