Almost 5 stars. Good food, ambiance, but automatic gratuity charge? We enjoyed the ambiance of eating out on the patio. It was a... perfect evening in Portland. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the trout entree and my wife liked the burger. Our only issue waswith the bill. I thought it was a bit presumptuous of the restaurant to automatically charge a 20% gratuity on a bill for only 2people and not say anything when putting it on the table. I always tip at restaurants, so I feel this can be a bit deceptive ifsomeone doesn't see it on their own. Read more

Dinner last night at OK Omens exceeded our expectations. Amber, our server went above and beyond to make us feel welcome not... just at the restaurant but to Portland as well. She wrote down a list of her favorite restaurants for us, new arrivals inPortland. We started off our meal with scallop crudo which was buttery, flavorful and fresh with a kick of Sichuan peppercorn.The Dungeness crab was the best dish. The crab meat was sweet and so tasty. The sourdough bread was perfect for mopping up thecrab dish. For mains, we had clams and trout. The trout was cooked expertly with crispy skin and moist meat. Large portion ofclams with creamy green sauce. Love the cucumber granita and basil ice cream on top of the butterscotch pot de creme. OK Omenshas a great wine list. We had a dry lovely French Chardonnay to go with our dinner. Not only the food was fresh and deliciousat OK Omens, Amber made it a special night for us. Beautiful space and comfortable. Got a little warm due to no fans/air moving about but that’s not a deal breaker. Service was... impeccable and the wine was spectacular. Fresh Oysters we’re a highlight as was the Trout. Duck was falling off the bone! Read more
Went here for a birthday dinner this week and it was exceptional. Staff was amazingly friendly, food was spot on, vibe was chic... yet inviting. For dessert the cheese plate was ordered instead of a traditional dessert and they put a candle on it. Nice touch! Read more
As others have mentioned, the wine list is a treat organized by what you’d want to know to pair with your meal or just your... mood. The food is also really great and the service tonight was spectacular. Strongly recommend checking it out and askingquestions/taking recommendations, especially regarding Rieslings. Read more
Gorgeous place! We went in for drinks without a table booking and they were so accommodating, giving us a table until it was... needed for a booking then moving us to the bar, but with lovely friendly service all the way. Not to mention the wine! We triedseveral, and the staff were all so knowledgeable about all them. We had a lovely night and I hope to go back soon! Read more
