Reviews for Ohana Hawaiian Cafe in Portland, OR
We got the ohana plate to share between the two of us. It was a good amount of food for us to share. Unfortunately the pork and... Mac salad were very over-salted, to the point we couldn't finish them. The other meats and spam musubi were delicious though! Read more
I?ve been going to Ohana for many years and it remains a great place to snag a plate lunch or a hearty dinner. The food is... consistently good and the prices very fair. The portions are generous and the shaved ice after dinner is a fun treat! Read more
We?ve been coming here for years & have loved it. The food is made by people from Hawaii and it shows in the love they put into... the food. It?s so delicious. They have foods you won?t find at most other Hawaiian places, like chicken long rice. The broth isspicy without being overwhelming and the clear noodles are perfect. The desserts are also a standout. Try them all, but thechocolate haupia pie is a winner. Read more
We had family from out of town visiting & wanted to have an excellent meal on their last evening with us. We had 10 individuals... in our party and Ohana Hawaiian Cafe (OHC) was able to accommodate us on short notice. We were not in a hurry so we enjoyed the"Ohana" level of service. Laura was very helpful. Being in the service business myself, I sensed that like many businesses thesedays that are still able to operate in this "almost" post pandemic time, they were under staffed but still seemed to work wellas a team. Yes, our orders seemed to take a little longer to be presented to our table, but this allowed our group to haveconversations that most likely would not have occurred AND enjoyed. All the better! As a courtesy due to the wait, Laurabrought us some complimentary delicious appetizers that helped tap down the hunger tingles that we all were beginning toexperience. I am giving a 5 Star rating despite the wait issue because Laura & her team did everything else RIGHT! The team wasfriendly, the food delicious and the overall experience was very enjoyable. Well done Ohana Team! Read more
This place is really good ???? The Musubi was a little thick on the rice side but still delicious especially when you dip it... into the sauce that comes on the meat. We tried the Hawaiian BBQ chicken which really is spot on, and the teriyaki chicken(which is equally as delicious) the meat is not cut it?s just grilled pieces but it?s so good! They have very good sauce. Mypersonal favorite was the spicy pork, the thin slices of grilled pork are incredibly good and the sauce is the perfect amount ofspicy. Definitely the best Hawaiian grill in the area! Btw the macaroni salad is the ?cherry on top? completing the meal! Read more
I have been going to this restaurant for years, ever since my best friend introduced me to the Milwaukie location. This... afternoon my fiancé and I decided to have lunch at the Sandy location and it was wonderful. Usually I get the spicy teriyakipork, but decided to change it up and went with the garlic prawns today -- I do not regret that decision one bit. The prawnswere perfectly cooked and the garlic and aoli sauce they were seasoned with added amazing flavor but wasn't overpowering. Thedining room was clean and had a lot of natural window lighting, the staff attentive and kind. If you're looking for greatHawaiian food, you'll find it here. Read more
Delicious food! Fast and attentive service. The mac salad is good but i also highly recommend substituting the green salad as... it is delicious too. The desert menu looks epic. I would definitely come back just to get dessert. The atosphere is casual andhomey. Read more
