Definitely visit them. We really enjoyed this place. There was, no joke, a large Italian family (kids, grandparents, the whole... deal) at the table next to us chatting away in Italian, which speaks volumes to the authenticity here. This is notAmerican-ized Italian food, but rather is the real deal. I had the lasagna which was amazing and my wife had some strange pastathat has a texture like mash potatoes that I don't remember the name. She loved it. It wasn't for me. They have pizza too, sowe'll need to go back and try that. Prices are not cheap, but fair. Portions are not huge but you are trading a bit of volumefor really great quality. We were plenty full after a great visit and then wandered to the plaza across the street for ice-creamwhich accentuated a great night. They also have a full bar and tons of wine. Read more

Awesome local Italian restaurant, it's walkable for us. We moved to Hillsdale during peak COVID and had only had takeout until... fairly recently. Takeout was pretty good but now we have eaten at the restaurant 3 times we are more than impressed. It hasbecome a go-to when we have guests visiting. Read more

Wow. I?m a jaded Italian fan, and this was a magnificent sleeper. I?ll be back very soon to see if I can repeat the experience... of a basically perfect Italian dinner. Atmosphere is ?good?, but the food was fantastic. Read more

The roasted garlic pizza with lemon zest and arugula is truly one of my favorite things. The combination of flavors is... outstanding. The olive oil cake for dessert is also quite delicious. This is a lovely neighborhood restaurant. Read more

We've been here a couple times. And while the restaurant is known for their pizza, we have yet to try it, opting for their pasta... instead. Both times, we've had the Oak and Olive salad which is outstanding. The fresh ricotta and herb vinaigrette make thesalad. The focaccia and house made soup have been really good both times as well. On our first visit, we had the Cacio E Pepepasta which we both enjoyed. Simple but flavorful and well executed. On the second visit, we tried the dungeness crab risotto. While it looks beautiful, we were disappointed. The combination of flavors just didn't work for either of us. The corn was toosweet, and the arugula was too bitter, and both overpowered the sweet taste of the dungeness crab to the point you could barelytaste the crab. Despite the risotto, we do enjoy this restaurant and look forward to a third visit to try their pizza. Read more
