We had an brilliant experience. The pita paired with the house homas and toom is absolutely delicious. We shared a Jebne pizza... and the chicken and lamb shawarma combo. The meat was excellent! Read more

This place is delicious!! On this trip I had the rose and berry drink, and the plate that had the different meats accompanied by... fresh made pita bread. However, the dessert is what made my day. The two dessert had a rose syrup which is different fromanything i have ever had. I highly recommend having them!! Read more

I had a craving for falafel so I finally made it over to Mamma Khouri?s. All the food was wonderful at this family run... restaurant! As someone accustomed to store bought pita, their?s was so much better in texture and flavor. The falafel wasperfectly crisp on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. Read more

This is one of those restaurants that not only serves phenomenal Middle Eastern food, but also hospitality, warmth, comfort,... laughter, smiles and a feeling of belonging. The staff and owners were beyond gracious and the service was impeccable. They wereplaying Traditional music (Fairouz, Oum Kalthoum) that made me reminisce about being on the Mediterranean coast. Also , theyserve freshly baked pita bread (wow!!). Absolutely wonderful place for a meal. Will ABSOLUTELY be coming back the next time I?min Portland! Read more

Another one of those serendipitous events! You know, like when order the wrong thing at a restaurant and it turns out to better... than what you thought you wanted, or when you drop a peanut butter sandwich and it lands face up. Okay, maybe not so much thelast one. Anyway, I was going to a different restaurant and had gotten the hours wrong and I was so excited to find a parkingplace within walking distance that I decided to stay in a one block radius and leave the truck in its precious spot. That led meto be standing in front of Mamma Khouri's like a waif left standing in front of an orphanage. The place is light and airy, kindof a mix of modern and old country... lots of white. Even the server was all dressed in white as if she were a commando in theforest dressed in Camouflage, but I jest here. She was kind, welcoming, efficient, and charming. Make no mistake, She sets upthe scene for a good experience. I got Momma's Special Shawarma and and French Fries and they were great. I didn't realize thatFrench Fries were a national food of Greece, but that just goes to show you how ignorant I am. I just can't resist a good bit ofthe blessed tuber. They were great, I had no regrets unlike the rest of my life. The Shawarma was picture perfect, not onlyvisually, but savory and multilayered. Lots of mystery going on there. Usually I'm pretty sure what spices are being used in adish, but here I just had to throw myself into the river and allow myself to be carried away. Ground Beef is an underratedresource, hamburgers and tacos have flooded the culinary market and distracted from treasures like this. The Shawarma should beassigned as one of the primary food groups and Momma's Special should be gilded and stuck in the National Museum. Thanks Momma! Read more

Vegetarian Food Review: A cold rainy evening and I found this place for some delicious comfort food. The lentil soup literally... made me cry because it took me back to childhood days. The owners and the staff are amazing. You know you are sitting in afamily setting and literally eating from their kitchen. I tried Tabaouli, Lentil Soup, Rose Lemonade. Delicious is anunderstatement and I can?t wait to try more. Thank You Anna for the lovely conversation and care you extended. Loved it. Read more

The food was just ok across the board (kabob, shawarma, awarma, pita, rice). I?d say the falafel was the standout amongst it... all. There are better options, and certainly at these prices. Read more
