You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't get yourself a pie or 3 from Lauretta Jean's. I have tried over 15 different... pies and they were all pretty excellent. The only one that I had a little reservation about is the salted honey, which haddecent honey taste but it was so sweet that I still experienced it the next day. Their other stuff are worth the line too.Tomato jammer, red velvet, quiches, cheesecakes, cream puffs, and rugelach. Did I mention their red velvet? Read more

I?ve lived on Division for almost 2 years. If I ever leave the Richmond neighborhood, I?ll miss Lauretta jeans the most. I bring... anyone from out of town to pick out a dessert. I bring their cinnamon rolls to brunches. My wedding cake will be from LJ?s. Theyhave perfected the art of dessert & pastries, the flakiest crust my tastebuds have had the gift of tasting on quiches and piesalike. This cinnamon roll pictured was a spiritual experience. Doughy, moist, and a hint of nuttiness from what I think is abrown butter based icing - YUM. Sure you have to wait in a line, but the desserts are premade so the service goes quick. Alsoisn?t a line the mark of a great place? I?m dying at the review below that said they had to stand in the rain ? damn Jackie Ican?t control the weather! Also, the service is awesome and the whole team is so cheery & friendly. If you live in Portland oryou?re even just visiting, do not miss out on experiencing Lauretta Jean?s. We love you guys! We ordered three different chocolate pies. The chocolate was disgusting. Tasted off. Not sure why it gets so many good reviews.... I spit it out immediately. However the strawberry short was interesting and delicious. Great idea. Unfortunately, lemon cakeitself was subpar. Waited in line, not worth it. Great pricing though. I was okay with the staff but my husband felt the staffwas very unfriendly. Read more

Holy cow, this place is amazing! Everything we had was incredible, and as you can see from the photo, we got a nice smattering... of delicious goods! The salted honey pie was unique and especially tasty, as was the strawberry short pie (yes, it's strawberryshortcake inside a pie)! Also, the lemon bars were out of this world! We look forward to going and trying some of their savorygoods as well for brunch someday. Read more

Lauretta Jeans... gosh I love this place. You really can't go wrong with any of their pie flavors (honey pie and chocolate chess... have been my favorites). Their brownies are incredibly rich and delicious. Even their tomato jammers and biscuits are superb. It's just a really fun place to get dessert after walking around on Division Street. Be prepared for a line sometimes though! Read more

The quiche was very good, had a flavorful crust. Desserts were to die for. The strawberry short pie was possibly the best pie I... have ever had. Read more

I ordered blackberry raspberry streusel. It was good but not amazingly delicious. Like my mother can bake like this. And a slice... of pie is now $6 plus they ask if you want to tip. The staff was not nice. We wanted to eat there but we couldn't come insideand had to wait standing outside in cold rainy weather. And they don't mention it on their website. Read more

My first visit was on Pi Day, the line was long as expected but I came with a friend so we had fun while we waited. It was... finally my turn to order. I ordered tiramisu, key lime, salted honey, and blueberry Victoria slices. They were all deliciousand the crust was so flakey. The people there were working so hard and they were so nice! I will definitely be returning to tryMeyer Lemon and their other pastries. Read more
