Reviews for Laughing Planet in Portland, OR
I'm sure I am just a parrot repeating the same review of a great place. There is something on the menu for everyone of all... ages. The green salsa for chip dipping isn't spicy at all (which I prefer). The flavor is spot-on with a hint of Cilantro and atouch of sweetness over hotness. I always get the spinach black bean burrito veganized, with corn and tofu. And they know howto cook spinach, it's just right every time. I get a side of it and it's perfect. Add a side of tempeh... boom. And don'tforget the smoothies. You have to get a smoothie! I enjoy a peanut butter & jelly smoothie with chia seeds added. The list goeson. Kids (and some adults) will love the plastic dinosaurs scattered all around the restaurant that they can actually play withall they like. Read more
Updated: restaurant responded to this review, agreed the bowl was shorted, and offered to ?make it right.? But it was all fluff... for the reviews as I tried to follow up twice and nothing. Won?t be back. Have ordered this same bowl (Paleo, with tempeh) atleast 15x in the past. Today is was the most measly portion I?ve ever seen. This bowl used to come filled to the top. It?s about1/4 full. And $12 (plus tip!). Unacceptable. Read more
Was pretty disappointed when I ate there with my partner yesterday. It seemed to take a long time for the food to hit the table... in the first place, and one of my tacos was wrong. Those are not major issues. The pork taco I got was wet, I picked it up, andthe the paper on the plate was completely pooling with liquid, I?m guessing water. There was I think coleslaw on it, and my bestguess is that they washed it and slapped it on the taco still soaking wet. The taco fell apart as I tried to eat it because ofhow wet it was. Wasn?t super impressed with the beef either when it finally arrived (at least the tortilla was nice due to nocoleslaw) but that might just be my tastes. Hard to say because the major complaint I have about both was that there was hardlyany meat, and what little was there was completely overwhelmed by the toppings. Will not go back. Read more
We came here wanting some healthy grub. We got the Korean bowl and the Bollywood bowl. Korean bowl had a good kick to it and was... very saucy, almost too saucy. My bollywood bowl missed the mark. The sauce was great, but there wasn't enough on it in myopinion to make up for the fact that the veggies that come with it aren't seasoned at all. And the curry chickpeas that camewith it were rock hard, basically inedible. If the chickpeas hadn't been over cooked and there was a little more sauce, Iprobably would have loved it. Read more
Soooo good! My second visit while in town and checked out a different location. Just had to come back. I had the Comfort Bowl... and removed the dairy along with a Mango Peach Lemon smoothy. Was so good I didn't even get a picture before I dug in! Read more
The food was good and the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere is comfortable and there is plenty of space between tables. The... staff was courteous and friendly. The flavor was quite good on the Thai bowl. It was not too spicy. I think the portions couldbe a little larger on the bowl dishes but that?s a minor quibble. If you want to eat at a restaurant with healthy choices, fastservice and reasonable prices, then make sure to pay the Laughing Planet on SE Woodstock a visit. Read more
Usually have had good experiences and good from this place, and unfortunately I'm having to post this here since I couldnt get... through on their phone line. Gotta say though, I'm not sure how anyone could call what they gave a me a quesadilla. When Ipicked up the first slice I was so confused because I didn't think there was any cheese on it at all. And The minimal cheese onthere at all was all dried up. ZERO gooeyness. Luckily had cheese at home to add on it myself but this is a sad excuse for aquesadilla, and I hope this is an exception not the standard that they serve. Quesadillas should bee OOOZING with cheese, andthis was a major disappointment ???? Read more
I ordered takeout online, which was informative and user-friendly. I saw my order was ready right as I walked in the door, the... cheerful staff person added it to the line of other paper takeout bags on the counter, and I saw my name scribbled on my bag. Iwalked up, snagged the bag, checked the contents, and left. Very quick and easy! I enjoyed the Lebanese special in a bowl withgrilled chicken. Delish!! I held the lettuce and added steamed broccoli. The pieces of broccoli were quite big but cookedperfectly. I also added extra garlic tahini and some garlic hummus at home. I love garlic ???? I'll definitely be using theorder ahead feature again soon! I'd love to see that special on the menu all the time. New favorite! Read more
