Our meal was delicious! We ordered sushi, the pork dumplings and the walnut shrimp. Perfect, quick and the service was amazing!... If I would say anything it would be the broccoli could have been cooked a bit longer. We recommend fully. Read more

We’ve been meaning to try this place for a while and finally decided to sit down and check it out last night. It was... fantastic! We got sushi, sake, and a couple appetizers- everything was delicious. Way better than some other one-off sushiplaces in the city. Also the service was downright amazing. Super friendly, attentive, and just an all around enjoyableatmosphere. Will definitely be dining here again. Read more

They have the most incredible sushi around. Class rolls, plus some fun ones, with the freshest fish I've tasted in a long time.... Their hot dishes were a tad on the spicy side, but still fantastic flavors. Just ask for less spicy if it bothers you. Pluswonderful service to top off a perfect meal. We will definitely be regulars here, so glad we found them!! Read more

Would instantly recommend this place to anyone looking for incredible, from scratch Chinese cuisine. We just happened to hit it... up on a whim since we were down in the area around dinner time, and were really surprised at how good the food is. My husbandand I have had Chinese food all up and down the west coast of Canada and the US, plus my husband is from NYC. This was in thetop two for me, and top ten for him. Everything was made from scratch, and it really showed - my husband's orange beef wasn'tjust a ton of sweet orange glop sogging into fresh from the freezer breaded beef, it was a thin coating with orange zest bits onnicely crispy coated but tender beef. My dry rub tangerine ribs were spectacular, the citrus was really good and the ribs werejuicy. Plus the portions were HUGE and the price was amazingly low - $16 for mine, $12 for his. The place is pretty bare bones(though the decor is fairly tasteful for what is there) and the service a little disorganized but incredibly cheerful andobliging. We also sampled the sushi menu via an eel roll, and found it average - nothing to write home about. They definitelyshine far more in their Chinese menu. Read more

We live in the neighborhood and we are happy Kanji is open. We have had 3 delicious visits and each time we are incredibly... pleased with the quality of food we have eaten here. The staff are fast and courteous and the food is delicious especially thecumin beef and tofu vegetable dishes. We will be repeat customers for sure. Thanks for a nice experience, KANJI! Photo is thetofu vegetable lunch dish, which includes 2 wonton, and soup, mmmm! Read more

I live six blocks away and finally decided to try this place. First off the staff are incredibly friendly and inviting. Ordered... the assorted tempura and the Szechuan fried chicken. The Szechuan chicken was amazing, spicy, moist and had a uniquely goodspice flavor. Will definitely be eating here again. Read more
