Love this place. I wasn't a Japanese curry person before until I finally tried some in Japan. Needed my fix and I've always... heard good things about this place. Only thing I hate is the location. Gotta find street parking and walk a block or two.Easier during lunch time. Read more

Choose from 4 different variations of a Japanese curry meal. That's all you get. Some people may be put off by this, but this... is why they shine. These guys (I think the owner/chef is Japanese) focus on Japanese curry and that's all they do, and so do itvery well. They even remember to include the proper fukujinzuke pickled vegetables. This is typical of Japanese restaurants toonly focus on one type of dish. It's very authentic and very different from Thai or Indian curries if you have never had it,and is the least spicy of the curries. The staff are friendly and efficient. Prices are good. Seating is limited and decor isfitting and simple. Read more

Omg. I?ve always moved away from curry since I tasted the Indian one a long time ago and didn?t like it. Long story short, I... scraped the plate. Man, it was so good. I got the Kalé-Doria + Baked something-something (can?t recall the second part rightnow haha). Half and half cheese. Every spoon was heaven! Read more

The. Best. Curry. Ever. It is literally the only reason I visit Portland. I really wish they would open a location in CA so I... don't have to keep flying up here. Order the Kale Doria with beef sauce. Not chicken, not vegetables. It has to be beef. Thenit's baked at 5,000° so it's piping hot and each bite is cheesy heavenly goodness. Toppings are optional and completelyunnecessary. They did move to a new, smaller location. Very unfortunate because it used to be beautifully decorated and now ithas to share a building. But the owner is just as cheerful and attentive as ever. 20/10 service. Read more

Loved their curry. But the chef guy was being oddly grumpy and unenthusiastic the whole time ???? I don?t understand - the curry... he cooked is so good and inspiring and customers loved the restaurant - he should be proud of that!???? Read more

On a little trip to Portland, came across this incredible spot and enjoyed it so much so that I had twice in 3 days. The Kale... Katsu with beef sauce was very tasty and rich in flavor, and the owner and staff were very welcoming! Would highly recommend toanyone in the area or visiting Portland. Read more

As soon as my friend and I walked in, we were greeted very warmly by the staff and really made me feel at home. The staff makes... sure that you are happy with your food and if everything was alright. The food here is soooo good, and honestly, the best curryI?ve ever tasted in my life. The dishes has a slight kick of spice to it, and it was perfect. The prices for these dishes are soworth it too, and not that expensive at all! The chefs not only make sure that the foods tastes great, but that the presentationis perfect as well. The place is very cute, small, and clean as well. I definitely recommend this place! Read more
