It's a nice authentic Russian restaurant. Went there with my Russian friend who wanted to introduce us to good ol' Russian food.... The staff were very friendly and considering that it was a very busy Saturday night, the manager did her best to get us atable. Tried the Coco Nib infused vodka and it was awesome. They had a variety of infused vodkas and my friend loved the Birchinfused one. The food was nice and flavorful and apparently authentic. Read more

The restaurant was closing for the dinner transition when we arrived, so we were directed to the upstairs deli as an option. I... had an Armenian beer and dumplings which were both excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. My son saw a notice thattipping was not allowed because they adjusted prices to pay $25/hr to their employees. The restaurant has their own parkingareas too. This restaurant was fantastic! The rabbit stew is a must, even if you aren't a fan of rabbit. The broth was just amazing flavor... and the meat cooked perfectly. The pork, veal, and onion dumplings were also great ! Finally we ordered their Russian Sundae andit, unsurprisingly, was also good! The restaurant can definitely be expensive though if you get starters with your meals. Asfor tips, a 22% tip is automatically applied to your bill once you receive it. Read more

Eating here was such an excellent experience. We were looking for something different and found this on Google maps, not even... knowing that it was highly revered for its Russian cuisine. I really wanted the cabbage rolls because my grandmother(polish/russian background) made them for me growing up, but unfortunately they were all out. Everything was good but I felt therabbit in a clay pot really stood out, I would highly recommend it. The whole environment was great too, our server was 10/10and the ambiance was nice inside. This is not just a restaurant; it’s a wonderful dining experience! From the minute we were greeted by the owners at the... hostess station, thru dinner and to the last mouthful of dessert; we were made to feel genuinely cared for and appreciated byevery wait staff member with whom we interacted. And the food!!!! Simply memorable from the fish board, the martinis, thedumplings, the rabbit in a clay pot, the fenugreek plombir sundae, the french press and a wonderful after drink called improvedmood; every bite exquisite and every sip satisfying. The atmosphere was genuine old world and nary a disgruntled diner did Isee. Truly loved it and just sorry that I don’t live close by. Read more

Love this place! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. My friend and I came for dinner and did The Ruskie Zakuski Experience.... It's $30 a person and the chef chooses different dishes to bring out for you to share. It was great paired with the vodka flightwhere we tried different vodkas, infused and from russia. Great experience. I would recommend it! Read more

My first time here and first time trying Russian food and I had no idea what to expect. Let me begin by saying that the... experience could not have gone so well if Katelyn had not been so helpful with her suggestions when we asked about our options.Everything we had from drinks to appetizers, entrees and desserts were excellent. The people in our party decided on familystyle dining and left very content! This is definitely going to be one of our go to establishments when visiting Portland!!! Read more

Wow! The wait staff team all knew the menu well and how to explain the dishes. The food was flavorful and the service was... friendly, nice, funny and considerate. The pork on a skewer was well seasoned and prepared properly for optimal flavor. Thestuffed cabbage was tasty and you can tell that a lot of care was put into its preparation. The selection of infused vodka wasnice to sample but not my thing. The store upstairs had a nice selection of goods. This was an added bonus. Read more
