This place is really cute to me, a modest little breakfast diner squeezed into the middle of a row of houses. The food was good,... and relatively affordable compared to other breakfast places we have gone on our trip. If I were to name one minor hiccup, itwas my water glass. After I finished it, I noticed that there was a bit of a charcoal residue inside, probably from another dishwashed at the same time as the glass. I wasn't upset, it didn't hurt anyone, it was just a little bit offputting. I otherwisewas very pleased with my visit. Read more

Great food in a smaller building giving off a great vibe for brunch. It reminded me of the old Candle Cafe on the upper east... side before it permanently closed several years ago. Parking was not nearly as bad as I feared for Sunday brunch and neither wasthe wait for a table for 5. Both vegan and non-vegan options got rave reviews from our crowd. Read more

This place is so so so cute and cozy. Love the old-times diner feel. The service is terrific. Their sourdough French toast is... the best I?ve ever had. They have some alcoholic coffee drinks that are strong and delicious. Cannot recommend Junior?s Cafeenough! Read more

We went on a Friday early afternoon and it was not busy. Cute place with a decent vegan tofu scramble. Stephanie was friendly... and helpful. I think this place has been around for a really long time but if we hadn't driven past it one day, I wouldn't haveknown. It is on 12th south of Hawthorne and we were lucky enough to get street parking right in front. I can't wait to trysomething else vegan and yummy next time we go! Read more

Had JJ Benedict, bloody Mary,. Real nice. Tasty, I'll order that again when I come back.

This place used to be great. The new owner kept the menu but the quality was not kept and not all menu items are as the menu... describes. Those are not steel cut oats, and yes it matters. The bathroom has been out of TP 3 out of the 3 last times I wasthere. French toast is pretty good. The owner is polite. Read more

I would say if you've read any reviews for this place, then you read my review as well. It's definitely a solid four. A bit... better than other places, definitely more affordable. Only a few minor detractors. Hollandaise sauce that was too thin, buttasted alright. I get the feeling from reading other reviews that any negatives have more to do with who is in the kitchen thanit does with the actual quality of the food. It's a cute spot you should try. Read more

My boyfriend is vegan so every Sunday we go to the same 2-3 places in Portland and today we decided to try somewhere new. The... picture is of nearly the same breakfast but one is vegan and one is not. He liked the vegan french toast a lot but I wasn't afan of the syrup. They have a ton of choices though so we will definitely be back to try it again! Be prepared for a small waittho, as there is limited seating especially for large groups. Fairly cheap costing breakfast and unique vegan drinks, like avegan baileys hot coca! I would recommend others try Junior's, it's worth it. Read more
