Fun comedy club with pretty packed seating but a nice intimate space without a bad view in the house. The food is pretty generic... and drinks definitely watered down. But you don't go there expecting to be wined and dined, you go there for the laughs. Read more
Went to see Michelle Wolf on a Tuesday night and had a great time! This was my first time at Helium and I was impressed and am... eager to go back. The seats and the service was amazing. There was a two item minimum but do realize this is part of what makesit possible for this comedy club to operate.The area is a bit sketchy but that's outside the clubs control, just make sure youdon't leave valuables in your car. Great experience. No wait to get in, great bar staff that were very busy, quick and super friendly. Hosts were nice and servers... joked around and were attentive. Enjoyed the whole experience! They also let me go up the elevator instead of the stairs since Ihad knee surgery. Read more
Loved it! All the staff were super friendly ? even Jeremy (I think that was his name) on the phone Our server was super sweet... and she was fast considering how many tables were in her area. We ordered a bottle of wine and a few snacking foods. The womanwho was doing all the intros (assuming she is local) was really funny and she did a great job Would go back here again andagain. This was my first comedy show ever and we had a great time! Great ambiance, pretty much no matter where you sit you have an... unobstructed view of the stage which is cool. It's like stadium style seating. Food was good ol' delicious fried goodness. Wehad a sampler plate with chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, pretzel bites, fries, and jalapeno poppers and also the porksliders. Service was great and we had a good laugh! Would make an awesome date night, first date, or night out with friends orfamily. Also, it was fairly priced. Read more
My first time here for a comedy show. Initially we made a mistake on our tickets, and they were able to move us to a later... show, so we would not miss it! All staff were friendly and authentically cared for our comfort. I only ordered a dessert, butit was awesome! Brownie, chocolate and ice cream. Been here a couple of times and each time was a pretty good experience. Clean tables, friendly staff when ordering and getting... food/drinks, ticket prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere in the building is cool. I don't know why but I like havingto go upstairs as soon as you walk in in order to get to the tickets and bar. Helium gets a lot of great names, and you can seewho's coming well in advance by going to the site and checking their calendar. Some names are booked months ahead of time. Onlyhave a few small negative points to make. One being that they've let Brendan Schaub perform here a few times instead of justletting everyone have those nights off or doing anything else. Another thing is that if someone sells out and it's a biggername, it becomes PACKED and you'll often be seated with other people at the tiny tables. So then it's 50/50 on if you're stuckwith someone cool and there to enjoy the show, or some drunk that responds to everything the comedian says regardless of whereyou're sitting. Only other minor gripe is sometimes the staff that tells people it's time to go home can be super annoying.Stayed after a 10pm show to buy a comedian's merchandise, but was just standing aside because they were talking to another fanfor a while, and the kid was relentless in telling everyone else that we all had to go. Still, I definitely enjoy coming hereand look forward to what next year has to offer. Very glad it didn't close down during the pandemic like a few others did. Read more
