One of the MOST underrated Vietnamese restaurants in Portland. Hanoi kitchen should be on any meaningful Portland food list. Not... sure why they aren?t getting the press they deserve. The owner is incredibly passionate about the food they put out and you cantaste the love in the food. Delicious and delightful! My companion and I ordered the shrimp salad rolls as an app to share and both got the vegan pho for... our meal. Both were wonderful, the vegan pho is a real standout. Huge bowl of deliciously flavored broth, plenty of noodles andlots of fresh veggies. I?m unfortunately not a big fan of mushrooms and while there were a couple in the soup it was easy toavoid them. Oh yeah and they also served us a great warming table tea. So comforting and exactly what we needed on a chillyPortland winter evening. Omg. The soups here are incredible. I wasn?t feeling so good so I ordered the C1. It?s got crab rolls, pork, beef and veggies... and it?s super super spicy but in the perfect way. This was our first time visiting Hanoi Kitchen. The restaurant was very clean and appealing with live plants everywhere. The... owner was very kind and friendly. Then the fish sauce wings came,, OMG! They were huge and delicious! Then we had the pork soupand tamarind pork combo. Both were amazing, but the tamarind pork was incredible! Slow braised, fall off the bone and melt inyour mouth with very rich sauce. Lastly, we had the fried rice and it was easily the best fried rice I've ever eaten. Well doneHanoi Kitchen!
