I had no idea what to expect based on the name, but the idea of taking a delicious cinnamon roll and topping it with a... bewildering array of toppings and sauces seems to me, truly novel. But it is all vegan which is even better! I wish my fatherand I had been hungrier when we stopped in (we only got a single cinnamon roll each with nothing fancy on top, but it was great. When I am back in Portland with my teenage daughter, this is on the list of places we must visit. Read more

The one that I took a photo of is called lunchbox. This nostalgic gastronomic delight starts witha cinnamon roll foundation and his topped with peanut butter sauce, strawberry sauce, and crumbled salty potato chips.Absolutely delectable and delicious. I have searched 12 years for a gluten-free cinnamon roll that tastes even remotely like my grandma's heavenly fresh-baked... yeast-rising cinnamon roll delights. THESE from Hail Snail are as close to home-baked perfection as I have ever found. Thegluten-free cinnamon rolls were soft and not dry. They're fluffy, like a yeast roll should be. And they're perfectly flavored. The filling was rich with cinnamon and sugar and has a rich, gooey center to leave you a blissfully satisfied last bite. GrandmaMary would approve! So so good. Try it! Hail Snail is an incredible little shop where everything is delicious. I'm fully and completely serious. They're inventive and... interesting, and their little 'snail' atmosphere is quirky. They're so cool looking and *honestly* Instagram worthy every time,if that's something important to you. Plus! It's very rare to find somewhere that the gluten free options taste just as good asthe standard. Snail knocks it out of the park.
