Reviews for Grassa in Portland, OR
We've dined-in previously at the NW location and the food was exquisite. So, we assumed our experience would be the same at this... location. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We arrived at approximately 3:30 pm on a Thursday and the only customerspresent. The Caesar Salad was excellent - love what you do with the lemon slices - however, the pasta dishes, though flavorful, were disappointing. When they arrived at our table, both were just warm. 50% of the pork chunks in the Pork Ragu Rigatoni weretough and the pasta was more chewy than al dente. Upon bringing this to the attention of the server, she immediately retunedwith a small bowl of the pork ragu sauce. I experienced the same issue with the toughness of the pork. 04/06/2022: 4.0 out of 5 - I've been to this location several times now. I've also been to the downtown and the NW locations,... as well. Of the three locations, I like this location more due to not having to wait too long while getting the same quality offood, and a bit better service. Just my humble opinion of comparing the locations. Although, it's been awhile but it wouldseem Grassa shares a common dilemma that many Portland eateries have. Prices of menu items increased with a slight drop inquality and/or quantity. I get it, but Grassa (like many other eateries in the area) can and should do better by itspatrons. I am hopeful of Grassa, as I do enjoy the fresh pasta and the flavors that they created. And, I still feel that theFrito Misto is not the only best item on its menu, but the best tasting Calamari dish in all of Portland. If you ever get achance, do try it once and decide for yourself. This is perfectly fine but not near the best in town. It?s got fun flavors and fresh pasta but it?s too expensive to justify the... quality and counter service. Also the wine is on tap and also pretty expensive. Was not a fan of tap wine Read more

Pasta is never a bad choice. Housemade, fresh pasta is always an excellent choice. The Pasta Al Pesto was pretty much the... perfect dish. Pesto wasn't overpowering, zucchini was cut to that it was easy to eat and the hazelnuts were perfectly toastedand added the best touch to this dish. Cocktail was also delicious. Read more
