Friendship Kitchen had been on my list for a while before I finally made it in for the first time for my birthday dinner! I had... shaken tofu and the Love Language cocktail, plus lil egg rolls to share (not pictured). Everything was so delicious. The spaceis super cute. Reviews are definitely not sus. This is a super cute area with many restaurants and variety. The outdoor seating is a great... hangout spot with friends. Order at the counter and they?ll give you a number. The staff are so sweet and attentive. We didn?ttry the drinks but will come back. The BBH (bun bo hue) is a must try! Just enough spice and the hue essence of the soup justmakes you want keep slurping. They provide a nice assortment of veggies and a side of chili oil. Ask for a slice of lime ifyou?re about that citrus situation. Next is the Bo Luc Lac or shaken beef. The garlic sauce and medium rare beef was soooo good.I could honestly just eat the umami sauce and a bowl of rice! A little pricey but everything we tried was tasty andfilling. Also, the chef immigrated from Vietnam and has been a chef back in her country and is so passionate about cooking. Sheisn?t as fluent in English but we spoke in vietnamese. One of the BEST restaurants in Portland!! Amazing staff + amazing FOOD!!???? Immediately greeted with, ?Thank you for being... here!? which just set the tone for the rest of the night. The food was amazing and packed with flavor (HIGHLY recommend theABunDance bowl, pictured below). Some of the best chicken I?ve had in my life!! One of the best dining experiences since the pandemic has begun. The vibe you get immediately upon walking up is that everyone... outside is already enjoying themselves which only brings excitement to get your order in. Upon entry you are greeted by the mostlovely of staff members who truly make each individual customer feel well cared for and special(almost as if they are yourfriends?very fitting to the name and ambiance). Our drinks came almost as quickly as we could just about settle to take ourcoats off. Definitely recommend ordering the beef plate. Everything was beautifully presented as well as tasted amazing! Servedon traditional dining and flat ware which I thought was a wholesome touch if you knew the history behind this restaurantscreation. Full accolades and my full love to everyone who was there on the night we visited. The two front of house ladies answered all... our questions and were helpful with making drink choices. I was recommended to try out Friendship Kitchen and I was a bit hesitant because I love good Vietnamese. As soon as I walked... into this aesthetically beautiful restaurant, I was greeted by the warmest staff who actually made me feel appreciated like afriend. And the food! The food! The food! Delicious for just a snack or a full dinner. I?m excited to come back and try thewhole menu? whoa! I tried their special, the Sexy Tiger, for a cocktail. Finally!! I'd been wanting to eat here for the longest time! And finally it happened. And it was so. Totally. Worth it!! I... ordered the ABunDance Bowl and it was so divine. I inhaled it so fast, too. So flavorful, so wholesome and so delicious. Thelemongrass chicken was cooked so perfectly and I loved the flavor. I also ordered the Garden rolls and I wasn't expecting themto be so massive! The sauce that accompanies the rolls is really lovely as are the rolls.
