My friend and I were about to go into the escape bar and grill to have a drink and beat the heat the moment we walked in the... waitress or bartender was sitting not even working immediately asked if we were vaxxed. She was rude and I'm completely at aloss. I hope this reaches as many people as possible and I promise you you'd be very disappointed to go there it was not okayit's discriminatory and it's wrong on every level..shame on her. Read more
This is my go to place! The staff are awesome, the food and drinks are delicious and the atmosphere is great. They have a very... large outdoor, covered seating area with heaters, if needed. Escape is LGBTQIA+ welcoming and holds many fun events, munches andshows. Read more
I go almost every Wednesday for karaoke. Food is great! It's really laid back and easy to exist here. There is a 50 cent pool... table that's usually easy to reserve. Read more
Finally went there tonight and I am only sorry I didn't go sooner. Folks there were so fun and welcoming! The staff is so... friendly and kind, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the drinks were STRONG! Also had a great time playing in the Uno tournament!I also felt safer knowing they ask for proof of vaccination. Read more
I randomly found this bar because it was close to my hotel and it was my last night in Portland. I?m so glad I did. Atmosphere,... bar staff, patrons; all 10/10. I came on karaoke night which is already a good time for me, but watching everyone have so muchfun made it even better. There are definitely bars that have karaoke and you can feel the unwelcoming atmosphere but not Escape.This place really upholds their name and what their mission statement is. Would definitely come again next time I?m in Portland. Read more
Food and drinks are yummy! Entertainment is great! Bartenders are awesome!! Except for one who I find to be incredibly rude...... And she's been there for quite some time. The Escape bar on Sandy boulevard provides a wonderful accepting environment. The bartenders and staff have always been super... friendly and the food is good. They have one pool table, multiple small tables as well as a few larger tables. Definitely aplace to go if you are in the LGBTQ society. Read more
I love this place. Great food, great bartenders, great drinks. Everyone is always friendly, staff and patrons. I suggest... grabbing one of their signature cocktails... like the "good in the hood". The happy hour and late night menu are a steal. Thisplace made me like sweet potato fries! And 4$ for 2 tacos? Unreal. They offer karaoke and drag shows with her always fun.Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. Read more
