I hate to say it, I think COVID-19 killed this restaurant. They were the go to place, not anymore. The inside of the restaurant,... reminded me of my trips to TJ and those were not good times. The restaurant just does not feel clean, warm and inviting. Themeal was not worth the $77.00 we paid. The beans had an odd taste, my mother in law plate had some chewy bits in it. My motherin law is now vary sick and has been throwing up since we ate there last night. This was not an easy review to right, but I hadto put it out there. Read more

Prices were too high for the food. Food wasn't the greatest. It was ok, have had a lot better. How they charge for every little... thing and refill it's ridiculous to me. Read more

This place was wonderful. Large portions, at least large for a senior, and never ending chips and salsa. Fast, hot plates and... courteous. Read more

I've been here before, but probably won't be back. A guy was testing his sound equipment and it was so loud and annoying I... almost left. My chicken taco salad was very bland and a big disappointment. The lady who served me was very nice and didapologize for the noise. Read more

Very. Very good Mexican food. I'm from San Fernando and grew up on homemade tortillas and tamales. This restaurant is as good... as it gets. Read more

EL Indio is the Big Brother to El Indio II. It's older of course but the food was everything I hoped for. The building is old... but well kept and super clean! I decided to come here during the dead space between 3 and 5 so I could take pictures withoutmaking humans feel awkward. My waitress was very friendly and assisted me with picking out my dish. The food was on my table inless than 10 minutes! They have a fabulous wide spaced dining room and special event's section. The bar is full and you can getjust about any drink you ask for. On Saturday night's between 9pm and 2am they have Karaoke for those of you that want to polishyour vocal skills. Overall this restaurant passed my checklist (including the spotless bathroom) with flying colors!Congratulations El Indio! Read more

What a gem. Super fast service, generous portions, and very well flavored meat. They are known for their fajitas. Very, very... good. Los Dos amigos - beef taquitos and beef quesadilla. The highlight of the entire meal was the flavor of the meat. Thisis definitely the best place to go if you are in Portland. If you are looking for good chili rellenos, this is not yourplace. Spouse said her chili relleno was not fried correctly and still had egg. Read more
