Since we saw the news reporting the opening of the Portland location, it's been on our must try list, and needless to say, they... did not disappoint. Great dumplings, in a very nice atmosphere, at a very reasonable cost. Our favorite was the chicken wontonin chili oil, and the soup dumplings were awesome. Dan Dan noodles were very tasty as well. Went as soon as this opened so there was a wait time since we were on the wait-list. We loved the food. The best part is you can... try so many dishes because of the prices and portion sizes. Tried many dumplings, potstickers and buns. Waterfront views aregreat too. Read more
I love this place! I went here with my girlfriend and the food was amazing. The prices weren?t too high and the food tasted... great. I loved everything I ate here. What a beautiful new restaurant. I love the location on the west-side of Willamette River Esplanade. The menu is diverse and I... am excited to try lots the options. My favorite for my first visit was the Beef Stew Noodle Soup. It arrived and we devouredit, forgetting to take a picture. The beef was tender and the broth delicious! Awesome space and view, delicious food, reasonably priced, the only thing that lacked was good service. Don't expect friendly... smiles or greetings. We had to track down servers to order, get water, and pay. The soup dumplings are so good, the bao bunswere tasty too. The pickled cucumber was beautifully plated and yummy. We'll be back! Read more
Super fast service, nice views, and friendly staffs. It was the first day of opening and we arrived around 5:40-waited for one... hour to be seated. It was totally worth the wait! We ordered two types of pork soup dumplings, pork and shrimp pot stickers,shrimp and zucchini dumplings, cucumber salad, wonton soup, and dandan noodle. Everything was really tasty- dandan noodle wastoo salty, so couldn?t finish. Prices are affordable and you won?t be left hungry. We all are coming back next time! Super yummy, great prices in a beautiful location. Nothing on the menu is more than $8.95, except for the sake. See pics for the... full menu. [It would be 375.30 for one of each thing minus beverages, in case you're wondering! ;) ] They also provide a photomenu with descriptions! The Xiao Long Bao was rich and lovely, the beef scallion pancake was tasty and had a special type ofbeef than I'm used to. The Onion Soy noodles were a nice texture and great for someone who likes a more plain item, I'll try theDan Dan next time! Service was good and the staff was friendly and efficient. Delicious Sichuan cold noodles with very authentic flavors! Highly recommend them. We really enjoyed the cucumbers and the... braised pig ears sides and Sour Plum juice along with the Jasmine Milk Tea. The Tianjin pancake was slightly softer than whatyou can find in China and the pork soup dumplings were not as juicy (perhaps they heated up frozen dumplings? That is what ittasted like as opposed to fresh ones!). The soup dumplings were the smallest ones I've ever had. But I lived in Taiwan so havehad very authentic soup dumplings there so my standards are quite high. Beyond that the service was extremely excellent withfood coming out quickly.
