Been coming to Dots for years. I never even leave a review for anything. Blonde girl is the rudest bartender they've ever had... and Dots has had some mean ones. Mean is something, rude is something else. I asked questions and all I got was anotherquestion about how I'm going to pay her. My transaction isn't even done yet. Closed me out and moved on to the next order and Iwanted an open tab. It's Halloween weekend, it's busy but this isn't Dots. I go to Dots for the libations and conversation, notto be treated like a transaction. I'll go to McDonald's next time if I wanted that Finally, the food came and it was dairy whenwe ordered vegan cheese for a lactose intolerant guest. We just threw the food out and left. I'm more upset than I am mad. 2stars for the past and the memories. Hopefully they can get right Read more

Would be a fun place to hang out, but it was pretty empty on a Friday afternoon. We waited for the bartender to come out of the... kitchen where it seemed like she was hiding. We finally took a seat and just waited for her to come out. Finally got our orderand proceeded to just get annoyed every 5 minutes asking if we needed more stuff. It was annoying so we left. Otherwise would bea pretty chill place. Prices are some of the best I've seen in this neighborhood and it's a really cozy spot, just don't wannabe bothered every 5 minutes while trying to have a conversation. Read more

Great local spot with tasty drinks and food! Their brunch is delicious and their staff is always friendly. I've been coming here... for over 4 years and it is by far my favorite brunch spot. Their pulled pork benedict is my go to dish. Read more

I went to Dots a few weeks back for happy hour on a Friday afternoon and I thought maybe we lost this beloved Portland... institution. Upon entrance we were yelled at about vaccinations before we even got to say hello. It was hard to here over theawful sounds of ealy 2000s forgotten hits that you would find playing at Wal-Mart in customer service blasting indoors. It wasjust a totally different vibe from old school Dots. It was just a stiff atmosphere and not enjoyable. I was pretty sad. I trulyloved Dots and thought I lost Dottie. Just seemed like it turned into another lifeless bar aimed at aging tech boomers that areruining this city. Decided to go back in on a Sunday night. I'm an old school bartender and Sunday nights are for us. It was atotal different atmosphere. Rock and Roll blaring and bartenders joking with customers, hard drinks and cheap beer with somecheap company. I love it. Laughter all around the room. It was everything I loved about this place. Listen I get that weekendsare a different crowd I get it. It was nice to know and be reassured that it wasn't another classic from the past that turnedinto a corporate ADIDAS minions side fantasy. We popped back in tonight and got some food and drinks. Food still stands thetest of time. They're missing some classics, but I get a menu changing. We live in some crazy times. the food is still some ofthe best dive food in this city. Makes you wanna shove your plate in a dish and eat it like a trex. I'm absolutely happy toadmit that in my slightly buzzed states that Dots has withstood the invasion of Californian rats that infest our city. It warmsmy old blackened heart. The entire Clinton street block is a slice of heaven. You scared me Dots you really did but I will becoming back more and more. LONG LIVE DOTS FRED AND TOOTIE NOT FRED AND CARRIE Read more

A great spot to stop for a quick brunch and a brew on a Sunday bike ride. My friend and I rode over from the Sellwood area and... made it here via the Springwater corridor trail for most of the way. The food was great, wonderful wait staff and a nice chillvibe. I had the pilsner and Grandpa's Sandwich. I totally recommend this place. Read more

I was trying to meet a friend at Reel M Inn on division, but it was closed. My friend Jackie suggested that we head over to Dots... in the Clinton neighborhood, so that?s what we did. Due to Covid, they had a window to order food and drinks, and plenty ofheated, outside seating. They have a good section of beers, and cocktails etc. menu sounded good as well, but we didn?t eat. I?ddefinitely suggest this place for anyone looking for a mellow neighborhood bar in the Clinton area. Read more
