Best vegan food in Portland. We traveled from Seattle to give it a try. Absolutely amazing! We ordered the vegan ribs drenched... in a delicious barbecue sauce, they were perfectly blackened but juicy on the inside. They paired perfectly with the flavorfulcollard greens and delicious Cajun Mac. The fried chicken, pickles, and fries were all battered and fried perfectly. So muchfood!!!! We could not finish, we were so full. :( Loved the sauces as well. We can?t wait to come back!!! ?? Loved thebackground story as well, the staff were so lovely and the venue was beautiful, we sat outside and it was such a nice memory. Read more
Whether you?re vegan or not, the food at Dirty Lettuce is incredible. Before going vegan I loved fried chicken and the KFC... bowls, so getting to have a meal here that not only replicated that but was even BETTER than the ?real? one, I was stoked. Themac, fried pickles, fried cauliflower, and fried corn were just, oh my word, *chef?s kiss*. The man working the counter (I wantto say his name is James but please correct me if I?m mixing that up!) was super friendly and fun to chat with while we waitedfor our order. This will be a regular stop for my future Portland visits. Read more
There isn?t any indoor seating, however there are a few uncovered tables outside. I love southern food and finding vegan... alternatives isn?t easy. I would suggest the southern greens, collards, the sweet potatoes, and the fried pickles. Delicious! Read more
The food is SO GOOD and they serve such generous portions! The black pepper in the mashed potatoes is perfect, the sauces are... all distinct and well balanced, the fried pickles are delicate yet crunchy and incredibly satisfying. I also tried my friend'sorder of the ribs which delivered all the crispy blackened texture I want on the outside of barbecue with the tender savory pullon the inside. Everything was perfectly salted and filling but not incredibly heavy and I biked home right afterwords feelinggreat. I was blown away and will definitely be back! Read more

What!!! Just wow. This place has a great atmosphere very chill and cool, down to earth vibe. Loved the gift shop with local... fare, I want everything! The menu is 100% plant based which is pretty amazing for a BBQ place. ALLERGY alert, the seitan is madewith sesame and wheat, and it is what is used for all the meat alternatives. Disappointed by the use of sesame and wheat, thereshould definitely be an indicator on the menu. However, the food was absolutely phenomenal. The mac n cheese was some of thebest I've ever had, the cook is clearly a magician. The batter was out of this world, perfectly crisp and buttery with just theright amount of heat. The fried pickles were great as well. The ribs are fantastic, I don't have words enough, and all thesauces were on point. I want a bottle of the ranch. This is a must try for any and all whether you are vegan or not. I won't beable to return as we have wheat and sesame allergies, but I recommend for those who do not. Read more
