Came here on a chilly Saturday evening to meet some friends. The staff here is lovely and attentive. Loved the decor here as... well. Made you feel as if you were in a restaurant on the coast. I had a bowl of clam chowder and it did not disappoint. Myonly complaint is that the oysters my brother-in-law received were too small. Hoping to visit again soon! Read more

Been here several times when I come to Portland. The oysters are amazing they’re from Oregon farm the day before you put them... in your mouth. Totally fresh oyster, love these flavors here. I also had the muscles in the garlic butter sauce I wanted tosnort it with a straw. I ate that whole piece of bread with it. Great great service, the bartenders awesome greatpersonality. Love the atmosphere and the history of this location. Would I go here again, absolutely! Read more

Great institution with history to boot. The interior is filled with a over a century of memorabilia. Plus the oysters are as... fresh a they come and the seafood is fresh and delicately prepared. For something completely different, try the smoked salmonfish and chips! Read more

Stopped here with my dad and kids after the donuts and were pleasantly surprised that this place was huge and decent restaurant.... It doesn’t look like that from the outside where we were passing… We had calamari, oysters, clam chowder soup, cesar saladand beers on the tap. Everything was delicious and our waitress was so sweet and lovely with her recommendations. Definitelywill come back for the food and service. Read more

The oysters are pretty good, even for summer. The clam chowder is also awesome. I also got the traditional captains fry (with... all the seafood) and it was just on the good side of "good", I wasn't blown away by it. The staff was very sweet. I love all thehistory memorabilia about the restaurant but feel like it could be updated. Overall I'd stop here again for a plate of oystersand glass of prosecco. Read more

A Portland signature restaurant that doesn't disappoint. Beautiful wood interior and historic nautical ambiance. Our late lunch... service was fantastic and quick. Everything was fresh and homemade - you could tell in every deeply flavorful bite. They do havea couple of non-seafood items: we tried the chicken sandwich- the best!!! The fish tacos were prefect, and two were enough.Excellent prices! Read more

My daughter and I had the opportunity to visit Portland Oregon on the day of Saturday Market. We stopped in to dine at Dan and... Louis Oyster Bar. We had an amazing experience. Miss Holly was our waitress and she was very friendly and entertaining. Ms.Holly was so wholesome I thought she was from Georgia. She understood that we wanted an Arnold Palmer (tea/lemonade, Southerncomfort). Her west coast hospitality was on point. The food was amazing. The shrimp (pawns)and calamari were delicious. Theservice was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. It was so nice to be away from Georgia and visiting the West Coast. The mealwas picture perfect(see pictures) and it was scrumptious. The water was surprisingly refreshing as well. I wanted to bring thewater home. Everyone was friendly and courteous... We had an awesome experience! Read more

I came across these old photos that I took a while back and I remember this as being a great place to have oysters on the half... shell, fried chicken, oyster shots, and clam chowder. They also have some other seafoods, sandwiches, burgers, etc. Although Ifind it to be expensive here, and the craft beer selection could be better. Other than that, all else was good. Convenientdowntown location as well. Read more
