We celebrated a family dinner here. We were looking for a new place to eat and were attracted by reviews. So we made a... reservation (which was nice to be able to do), not realizing it was in the former Bunk Bar space under the Wonder Ballroom. Wewere pleased to see an expanded outside and the same cool atmosphere inside. Plus, outstanding food and excellent service. Notyour typical bar menu. All six of us loved what we ordered and have plans to come back and try other things. It's owner operatedby talented, friendly folks . All in all, it felt like an old school Portland experience. All the rave reviews got us curious, so we went for dinner. We got the tater tots to share, the fried chicken sandwich, and the... bbq wild boar burger. Omg they were all absolutely divine! I got the floating house punch and it was just not my thing, but mypartner's whiskey cocktail, 7 mile bridge, was a winner. We have a few days left in Portland and we plan to go back for thenachos. My family and I popped in here for a quick snack and a cocktail in the afternoon and we had a great experience. Great... atmosphere, good music at the perfect volume, drinks arrived quickly and were delicious. I had a margarita and enjoyed itimmensely. We also share a nacho plate, it was a huge serving and oh man were they sooo good. Highly recommend!! The chips werehomemade and so crispy. Next time I'm in Portland I will definitely be back. We go to this place too much and that?s not a bad thing. Creative and tasty cocktails. Don?t miss the Friday fish fry (please... save me a seat though). Cool place to chill and grab a cocktail or food in the local neighborhood. It gets super busy when there is a show next door, ... but the bartenders are quick and able to get you what you need without a long wait. Read more
So. Freaking. Good. We swung by for dinner and drinks before a show at the Wonder Ballroom, and boy am I glad we did. The smoked... fried chicken sandwich was to die for. Seriously, the picture does not do it justice. The nachos were incredible, and the staffwas super friendly and attentive. We will definitely be going back. Read more
The steak frites was superb! This was served with an optional mushroom cream sauce which I went for. It was nice but did make... the dish a little rich and I would personally forgo it next time. The arugula salad was served with a light and tangy basildressing! Read more
At the Morcheeba show at Wonder Ballroom and ordered food from Cliff?s next door. I Am super satisfied with the deliciousness of... my chicken sandwich. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly and was so delicious and juicy. I ordered it with added onions andpickles, and the flavor balance rocked my world. The onions were sliced super thin, l the thinnest I think I have ever seen andreally complimented the sweetness of the maple flavors on the sandwich. I will definitely recommend Cliff?s every time someonetells me they are going to a show at Wonder Ballroom. ?? Read more
